Do not stay here if you want to get any sleep! Room was very dated, smelt like wet dog when we arrived. Uncomfortable matresses and very small ununsable bathroom that felt dirty. Noisy road, music playing through floor from bar past midnight and then other rooms tvs through thin walls till 2am. Staff were friendly enough though.

Excellent value for money

Excellent value for money. Pros - it’s a lovely pub, with reasonably priced food, a free car car and conveniently located. The room is clean, with everything you need and the staff seemed lovely. Negatives - as others have said, the bathroom in the room is small (nothing they can do about this), the hotel is located next to a busy road (again, nothing they can do) and the rooms are above a pub, so expect some noise until around 23:00hrs. Although there are negatives. The hotel offers excellent value for money and we would stay again.

I had booked two rooms for one night for a friend and myself who were walking on the Wales Coast Path. The day before our stay, my friend slipped and damaged his knee and had to go home. We notified the Savoy who had already charged for his room. Despite the best efforts of Expedia through whom the room had been booked, the hotel have decided not to give any sort of refund. I feel that as a gesture of goodwill, they might at least of refunded a portion of the charge.
