During your stay—and when visiting the vineyard's tasting room—guests receive special offerings designed to elevate the experience. Located just a few miles from Carlton, Moffett Vineyards' new hilltop tasting room sits high above the valley floor, where sweeping views extend across a patchwork of verdant fields and vineyards all the way to the Coastal Mountain Range.
Why guests love staying here: Guests are drawn to The Carlton Farmhouse for its rare blend of historic character and unbeatable location. Being able to walk to downtown Carlton's tasting rooms and restaurants, return home to a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood, and enjoy exclusive access to a local winery creates a stay that feels both effortless and special. The main level welcomes you with an open, light-filled living and dining area. Picture windows flood the space with natural light, accentuating the home's thoughtful décor and inviting furnishings. The living room features a flat-screen TV for cozy movie nights, while the adjoining dining area seats eight, perfect for shared meals and conversations over your latest wine finds.
Upstairs, the rustic yet refined primary suite exudes farmhouse charm with shiplap walls, sloped ceilings, and a brand-new king bed dressed in luxury linens. Two additional guest bedrooms each feature comfortable queen beds, cozy reading nooks, and open closets for easy storage. The upstairs guest bathroom includes a classic clawfoot tub with a shower, soft lighting, plush towels, and locally crafted soaps for an authentic Oregon touch.
The spacious kitchen has been fully updated with new appliances and stocked with everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals inspired by local flavors. Also on this level, you'll find a luxurious full bathroom with a separate standing shower and a deep soaking tub for two, as well as a convenient laundry area for guest use.
Step outside to a private, beautifully landscaped yard filled with fruit trees and blooming gardens. Dine al fresco at the large farm table under the open Oregon sky, or start your day with coffee on the covered front porch. A BBQ grill is provided for outdoor cooking and leisurely summer evenings with family and friends.
Carlton Farmhouse offers easy access to the region's finest wineries, restaurants, and local charm. Spend your days exploring nearby tasting rooms like Ken Wright Cellars, Soter Vineyards, and the Carlton Winemakers Studio, or stroll through town to enjoy artisan fare at The Horse Radish and fresh pastries from Carlton Bakery.

Fun farmhouse
Great house, great location. We enjoyed the house and all the fun touches in the decor. Being able to walk into town to eat and wine taste was a big plus. The porch and yard were where we spent most of our time enjoying the shade of the large trees and watching the neighbors go by.

Don't sleep on this gorgeous house!
My group of five high school friends from Atlanta (and one from Honolulu) rented the Carlton Farmhouse for a mini reunion. We loved absolutely everything about this house. This is the nicest and most thoughtfully appointed VRBO I've ever rented. The owners clearly take a lot of pride in it and it shows. Our favorite spaces: the comfortable bedrooms, the well stocked kitchen, the comfy living room for the one evening we stayed in to watch a movie, the wrap around porch, the gorgeous fenced in yard, and the enormous outdoor table, which was perfect for playing cards, eating dinner, and drinking wine.
We loved being within walking distance of Carlton and took advantage of the tasting rooms, restaurants, bakeries, and shops. We felt so fortunate to be there on Carlton's Ladies Night - we had a blast and met some really lovely people. Live music, shopping discounts, and special deals on wine and bourbon tasting - yes please!
Two of us are runners and we enjoyed seeing the little town on foot. Everyone was so friendly. On our last day in Carlton we heard lots of sirens so we walked up the street to see what was going on. Turns out it was a graduation parade for the high schoolers in Carlton! There were tons of emergency vehicles leading the parade, and spectators all along the roads cheering and throwing water balloons at the new graduates. Just a super fun hometown event that we didn't expect to be a part of, but we loved it!
Highly recommend this gem in the Willamette Valley!

Spectacular home with easy access to local wineries!
This was the perfect get-a-away for three very busy working ladies. The house was exactly what we had hoped for and the location was a short distance to most local wineries in the area. The three bedrooms were large, loved having one of the full bathrooms on the main floor, and the amenities were all there! We sincerely appreciated the thoughtfulness that went into making this a great rental. I highly recommend the Carlton Farmhouse! The only disappointment was that our stay was too short!

Relaxing and casual.
The Farmhouse is perfect for larger groups who love to cook, relax, and enjoy wine. There are three bedrooms and a pull out couch in the loft. There are also two wine fridges. The kitchen had everything we needed - coffee, tea, spices, oils...it was not lacking anything we needed. We grilled on the BBQ one evening and made many breakfasts in the kitchen. In the mornings we would go for a walk. Heading south from the property is a large and beautiful park. We also walked all through the neighborhoods. A mini-mart is only a block away and so is a great Mexican restaurant. We love the Carlton public pool too. So much to do in such a small town. The best part of the house is sitting out on the covered porch in the evening and watching the sky turn color. The interior is just like the photos - beautiful. There's plenty of parking. There is also a cherry tree and raspberry bushes on the property. It was all well maintained. We hope to stay at the Farmhouse again for our next stay in Carlton.

Lovely little country getaway.
A little gem in the quaint town of Carlton. Perfect for our group of 5 while we explored Oregon's beautiful wine country along with journeys to the Oregon's coast, the Tulip Festival, the Columbia River Gorge and it's magnificent waterfalls. We loved staying away from it all in this adorable home!

Girls Getaway
We had a wonderful girls weekend at the farmhouse in Carlton. It’s a great location, close to great wineries, good food and cute shops! It had the perfect layout, and was comfortable, even with 8 of us! The kitchen was well stocked, and the outdoor area was beautiful. We were very well taken care of, and would love to come back again as soon as we can make it happen! Thank you for making our girls getaway such a pleasure!

What a great house
Had a fantastic time at the Carlton Farmhouse. The house has been fully remodeled and is in incredible shape. The upgrades are everywhere, the interior design is spot on, and it includes everything you could ask for in a rental. It's quiet at night, offers some privacy from neighbors thanks to all of the landscaping, and is all of 2 blocks from downtown Carlton.
Would 100% stay at this house again.
