"The floors of our room were filthy, and all the cushions of the couches and chairs were stained. We asked for extra sheets and put those over the couch before sitting or it. Floors were never mopped and there were dust bunnies in all the corners. Kitchen was ok, but non stick pans were heavily scratched so we couldn’t use them. Can’t beat the beach view and the overall atmosphere of Captiva island. The accommodations by south seas were not up to par with what some other HOAs in south seas island can offer. I’d rather have a time share in another HOA in south seas and give up the amenities than stay in the south seas units again. "

"It is a great place for a get away vacation. The locations is close to outside restaurants. The pool water was warm in late March. The fitness center has dumbbells plus other items. You can catch whiting in the ocean. The best time to fish is 1 1/2 hours before sunset. There is a fish cleaning station that you can use by their marina on the bay side. The rooms come with a refrigerator that does not have a freezer. However, you can drop off items that need to be frozen at the office, and they will be placed in a freezer. The rooms do not come with a microwave oven; however, they will provide you with one for $15 per day. The tennis and pickleball courts are on top of a parking garage. There are low nets around the perimeter of the courts. There is no elevator. There are three floors of rooms. The beds are firm, and the pillows are great. I slept very well. The rooms are very quiet. The air conditioner/heater is controlled by a remote control. There are nice items in the Pelican Roost Boutique, and you can get a !0% military discount there."
