Extremely Attentive Property Owner
I did not intend to be high maintenance, but there was extreme bad weather in my hometown which affected the departure time of my plane, and my arrival was 8 hours late. The property owner communicated with me constantly and kept an eye on the flight updates - all day long!! And this was only to make sure that the pre-arranged pick up they set up would be at the airport for me at the right time. When I arrived, I was given a text with the name, description and a picture of the driver so I could feel safe and confident that I was in the correct vehicle. And... I didn't count, but the air conditioned vehicle was big enough for more than 10 people. Complete rock star treatment. The stores were already closed, due to our late arrival. Our driver went to 2 different McDonald's for us (the first one had just closed) and we were able to have a late dinner to bring back to the apartment.3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, full kitchen, smart tv, 7 minute drive to Walmart, or a lovely 15-20 minute walk. This location was closer by taxi to all of my favourite activities than my previous locations in years past. I was able to start each day with a terrific, homemade steak and egg breakfast, and pack fun, healthy foods for a day at the beach. I was in my element and far away from the snowstorms and damaging winds back home.For the trip home the property owner remained available for us incase our return flight to Canada was cancelled, because there was another severe snowstorm. So we could call.
