This is the second year we stay here for Labor Day Weekend and I just booked us for next year as well. The water and beach area is super clean so it was perfect for the kiddos. The adults had a blast in the game room that’s in the “Garage”. Thanks for making this property available for our family! See you next year!!

This was perfect for our family. We ranged in age of 6 to 70 with a group of 9. We stayed the end of August and had cooler weather with some rain. We did manage to get water time in as well as fishing. The recreation room was a big hit when the weather was at its worst. The kitchen is well stocked: spices, condiments, napkins, blender, crock-pot, pots and pans, ample plates, cups, glasses etc.. The bedding was wonderful. Soft sheets and appealing decor. The twin beds in the loft were extra firm so you may want to bring something to soften your sleep. Being that we were not far from home, we went home and picked up a couple of thermarests for our adult kids. I didn’t hear any complaints from the rest of the family regarding beds. We had the en-suite and the two queen beds were very comfortable. The beach is perfect. The sand is great for the kids to build sand castles and the water is clear off weeds and gradually gets deeper. Perfect! There were plenty of water and sand toys for the little ones. The fire pit is close to the water which lead to some great views.

We had a fantastic time during our stay at this cabin on Crystal Lake. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the cabin was clean, the game room and whole cabin set up worked really well for our family. One of the highlights was how close the cabin is to the water with minimal stairs, as well as the sandy beach and clear water for our whole family to enjoy. Would stay here again and would recommend to others!

Beautiful view of the lake from house. Sandy, shallow lake for little ones! Kids had a great time on the kayaks and pedal boat. Everyone had a good time in the game room playing pool and foosball.

Cousin Paradise!

My daughters and their families gathered at this property which worked beautifully for us. The kids are ages 2-9 and enjoyed fishing, kayaking, sand construction, swimming, and the upstairs lofted kids’ hangout. The set-up with the separate spaces over the garage and two bedrooms within the main cabin provided ample space for families to spread out for sleeping. Attention has been given to details including decorating, cooking, playing, etc. We have already booked for next year!

So enjoyable

My family ranging in age from 5 to 78 all enjoyed the cabin greatly. There was enough space for us all. It's hard to pick a favorite part of the stay. The cabin was comfortable and clean. The game room was a hit for the kids. The beach was great for swimming. The pedal boat and kayaks were well used. One thing we appreciated was that everything was close together. My parents were able to watch their grandkids playing in the water from the cozy spots on the deck at the back of the house. We maybe prefer places that are a little bit more secluded. There was a dock of the next door house close by. But it wasn't that bad. And you can't really see the houses on either side. The lake isn't heavily used, at least it wasn't the weekend we were there. We've been going to lake cabins with the family the past 5 or 6 years. This is likely the best place that we stayed. We would love to come back. Thank you for hosting my family!

Family Cabin Trip

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our annual family weekend!! The cabin exceeded our expectations! Not only did it have plenty of space for us to stay, its location was on a quaint lake with a nice sandy beach perfect for relaxing! The owners were very responsive and quick to resolve the very minor things that popped up.

My sister and I have been renting properties for many years to spend time with our kids and grandkids. This year there were 14 of us. This property is fabulous! Our main criteria are number of bedrooms, bunkroom, and good beach for the little kids. Bonus with this rental is a game room. The beach area was perfect, even for the two-year-old. It’s a gradual slope to the beach area and the water stays pretty shallow for a long ways. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking. There are four adult/teen life jackets so bring jackets for your little kids. We enjoyed the kayaks and peddle boat. The oars were broken for the row boat but my husband fished from the peddle boat. The lake was very quiet when we were there Sunday to Friday. Cable is about 20 minutes away. We went to the wildlife museum for a raptor talk. They had a red tailed hawk and a falcon. The kids were enthralled. There's a grocery store, some nice shops and we had a great pizza. We loved this property. It's been our favorite and I hope we can go back.

Wonderful Extended Family Trip

My sisters and parents have been doing an annual summer cabin trip for the last 5 years and we may have finally the one we want to repeat. The home is on a smaller lake with sandy beach and tons of amenities. We enjoyed the water most but also played with the pool table, foosball and nightly fires. The space had toys for kids and a game room. Plenty of beds for our 4 families and two separate buildings on the same property so the early risers wouldn’t wake up the others. The lake has guidelines asking visitors (and lake residents) to limit any skiing/tubing/etc to the hours between 10am and 6pm. Not ideal in the summer when the sun doesn’t go down until after 9pm but we made it work.

Yearly Trip

Beautiful and spacious place. Nice location. The fishing and wildlife were awesome. It was too cold to get into the lake, but the boys did take the kayak and the rowboat out to fish. the UTV trails were a blast.

Great Location, Great Hosts

The stay was nice and the place was well-kept. Great communication with hosts and an overall great stay. Only negative was some neighbors that seemed irritated to have a vacation rental next door and were quick to complain to hosts.Would Reccomend!!

Relaxing vacation destination

Great family vacation - even with "not great weather" (cooler June than normal overcast/rain every day for the week except for one day). Our family gathering (6 adults 9 kids) truly appreciated the beauty of the Wisconsin northern woods, Crystal Lake, and sunset across the water. Very easy access to the dock/lake from the house and great setup for adults to enjoy the deck overlooking the water while not feeling too far away from kids in the water. Only recommendation that I would offer is to hide the glass wear used as decoration throughout the house when children are coming for the trip. I arrived first, so I walked through the house to 'hide' the many decorations to then put them back in their place before departing. We had kids between the ages of 8-14 years old and still felt a little uneasy of having some of the fragile pieces out while we were there in fear of damages.

Nice place, ghosted about discount

This home is spacious and met our group’s needs for a busy ski weekend except for missing one functional bathroom. The host informed us of a water line (out to a second building containing bedrooms and a bathroom, not connected to the main house) freezing 1 week before our stay for Birkie 2025 (arguably the busiest time of the year for the Cable area). We said we would make it work. It was inconvenient to walk between buildings to use the bathroom / shower and so we asked if the host would consider providing a discount for our stay. They briefly responded that they would “look into it” and then absolutely no more contact. Disappointing.

Wonderful stay!

A cozy stay in the woods! We had a great stay- plenty of beds, a well equipped kitchen, and a great location. We were there in the winter so we didn’t get to enjoy the lake, but the house is only 15 minutes away from world class skiing at the Birkie Trailhead! The converted garage was also a great addition. We recommend! 10/10

"We found our spot!"

For the past 6 years we have tested out various VRBO properties, trying to find the "perfect" spot for our family get togethers...and this past Labor Day weekend, we found it! Our requirements included: 1. Sandy beach with gradual depth so the grandkids could play...check! 2. Clear water so we could swim off the pontoon boat or dock...check! 3. Lake that's large enough to pull a raft behind the boat, but not over crowded with boaters...check! 4. A large, clean property...check! This house is absolutely perfect for our family. There are two large bedrooms on the main floor, a cute "playroom" loft above the kitchen. Then, there is the bonus space of the two bedrooms and one bathroom above the game room in the garage. This allowed my daughter with 4 young kids to stay in a separate building so she didn't have to keep them quiet when they woke up at 5:30 am. 5. Deck...check! The beautiful deck is huge, so we could all sit around comfortably. And the bonus is that it's low to the ground, so we didn't have to worry about the grandkids falling off. We will definitely come back again!

Family vacation

Something for everyone 9 to 69!

We have rented other prperties in the past, but this is by far the best. We loved all the amenities, the sandy beach, long dock, and especially clear clean water. Easy access to tne lake. Grandkids loved the game room and sleeping quarters. Thanks for helping us make memories to last a lifetime.
