Not as expected
The listing for this property stated newly renovated. That statement is way off. The unit needed a thorough cleaning. Also needed all new furniture. The couch was very uncomfortable as you sank into the bottom of the cushions and needed a cleaning the recliners were dirty. The beds in both bedrooms very squeaky and uncomfortable. All of the furnishings were very well used and beyond the point of being donated to a good cause. The curtains in the master bedroom had either dirt or mold on them. The 1970s bathroom shower head was extremely corroded The unit also had an unpleasant odor. This unit would not be a good place to stay with small children. We are two older adults that will not be staying at Villas by the sea.
We worked with Jekyll island realty to rent this unit. Overall they were easy to rent with. When we decided to leave two nights early due to the uncleanliness of the unit they didn’t have much to say. I recommend they needed to go to the unit to see how bad it was. They told me they can’t make owners remodel. Obviously they knew there were issues. Wish we had been warned prior to renting.
