The property was really nice only down side is the random outbursts from the peacocks early in the morning, but they are beautiful so we can give them a pass. Other than that the front desk staff was great, and the spa is amazing. I didn’t try the food I opted for local restaurants but I heard the food is amazing!

Slept terribly. The room I stayed in must have been above a type of generator because the noise was loud throughout the night, add on a peacock in the back area calling every 2 minutes the whole night, I was luckily to get any sleep at all. Booked this hotel because of its supposed proximity to the US Embassy with Google maps showing a 6 minute distance, which turned out to be 15 minutes.
The staff was so nice. Communication with the staff prior to arriving was really nice and I asked a lot of questions before arriving. Super sweet people and helpful.
The staff are nice depending who you’re speaking to. Natalie is especially kind and attentive and very easily my favorite member of the staff. Be aware that towels are changed every other day and linens every three days however I had to ask for new towels they didn’t remember. My linens never got changed. The pool is closed whenever there is an event but there will be a days notice, so if you’re going during wedding season be mindful of that. The breakfast options won’t change but twice in my stay fruits were not available and If there’s an event later in the day the staff will be busy and you could wait a while to be served. The dinner options are good but I don’t remember seeing any options representative of Bajan cultures. THE WORST THING : roaches. Not once but twice we had roach sitings in our room. There was a dead one when we first got in and on another day we saw one casually strolling around. We were disturbed. We also found moths on our room . Also, the information in the email from the property was not accurate. They do NOT offer a meal plan at this time and check in is at 3 not 2 . Something nice ? It’s close to Carlisle Beach which is beautiful. It was also nice to be surrounded by trees and have a balcony to sit on with a swinging bed .
The property is very old and needs major renovation. Everything felt filthy. There was a lot of outside noise probably because of the old equipment. The kitchen is a disaster. But good value for money. That is the only advantage

Dear TatianaWe are sorry to learn about your experienced while staying with us. At present it is the mating season for the peacocks so they can get rather loud. The Embassy is 6 mins away normally, but perhaps you travelled during peak traffic it is possible to take the 15 mins.

Our sincere apologies if we did not meet your expectations. While the building is an older historical property built in 1904, it is completely upgraded and on par with the National Historical society. We are surprised by your comments regarding the state of the building as we have never had any one describe it in this manner. Our kitchen is state-of-the art and our restaurant, Pavao, is one of the leading restaurants in Barbados. I truly am sorry that you did not have a fantastic holiday in Barbados, and we would welcome an opportunity to engage you privately should you wish to discuss further.
