The staff was excellent, however the resort needed repairs, and several things in our room did not work. We finally moved to another room. Also, the availability of food and drinks was a challenge.

The Island is quiet with only the hotel for meals. The staff were amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and no effort was spared to please from Wee in management to Peli teaching us the history of the culture. The breakfasts were more than adequate with hot and cold foods, fruit, toast, banana bread, cereals of many varieties. The day/Evening menu could do with variation but presented well. Drinks/cocktails change daily. I absolutely loved the island as a single adult. For children it is lacking. They have snorkeling, canoes, padel boarding and a variety of daily programmes from fish and turtle fishing, cookery, island hopping language lessons etc. Serenity by name and serene it surely was.. I will definately return. Great introduction to Fiji. A must if you just need chill and recharge your batteries.

TV didn't work the whole time I was there. No one could fix it. Waited three days for a replacement hairdryer. If I didn't ask again I would have never got it. Some cash and shoes stolen. Food is terrible and over priced. Lady at the restaurant not friendly and it looked like I was a burden to her. Facility run down and broken. Not a good experience. Some of the other travelers agreed.

We have just spent 12 nights on Serenity island and loved every minute. The staff are so lovely and helpful especially the restaurant and bar staff they made our holiday very special! The food was good we didnt have one bad meal lovely salads, burgers and amazing curries and the traditional buffet was amazing. We stayed in a garden bure and it was lovely private and well equipped bed was comfy and room was cleaned every day to a very high standard. We went all inclusive so food and drinks between the hours of 7-9am 12-2pm 6-9pm were included which was plenty lovely cocktails and nice cold beers and a great varied menu, as its an island if they didn't have all the ingredients for they improvised which was great and totally worked, big hands up to the chef ! There are plenty of beds and large bean bag beds by the pool for everyone and there are huts along the beach with beds in to soak up the sun and atmosphere. There was singing every night at 8pm and if you had a birthday or were new to the island or leaving they made it extra special. The sea is amazing and you can snorkel or take out the kayaks, we saw some amazing fish was just beautiful! You can walk around or through the island which is great and takes about 30 mins. The staff do thier best to make your holiday fun there is a board refreshed every day with activities free and paid for we especially loved the crab racing event was great fun ! We would definitely recommend and definitely go back!

Serenity certainly lived up to its name and is an incredibly beautiful and relaxing island. My husband and I along with friends enjoyed the most amazing 10 days. From the beautiful welcome to the farewell song, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home with family. Everything was always done with a beautiful smile and friendly Bula. The location was an absolute dream with our bure right on the beach with the crystal clear water only steps away. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Snorkelling was next level amazing, there are no words...... Sunrise, sunsets and walking around the island everyday was another highlight. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and cannot wait to return asap 😊

Wonderful resort to getaway for a relaxing holiday. Beachfront acccommodation good and close to to water, a bit rocky during low tide. Staff make the place, friendly and always willing to help, tradionitional songs each night. Food in restaurant good, included breakfast limited but does the trick - eggs made to your request. Water and off island activities available, highlight for me was Malika traditional Fijian massage, went everyday I was staying. Solid 3 star resort, great value for money and not many kids, great place to relax and unwind.

What an incredible time we had on this beautiful island. The staff welcome you as family and are so generous of heart. We couldn't believe the accommodation was right on the shore and everyday is like a day in paradise. The snorkeling out the front of the island was phenomenal. From spectacular coral gardens to a myriad of fish every day. We enjoyed walks around the island, joining in the activities and the incredible views. I would go back in a heartbeat. The accommodation was clean, very comfortable and perfect for relaxing by the water. Embrace 'Fiji Time' and slow your own pace at this lovely island. Each night your are treated with a series of songs from the staff and joining in the staff volley ball game is a highlight.

Worst place we have stayed in years

Shockingly horrible experience, confirmed by several other groups who said serenity is one of the worst resorts if not THE worst, in Fiji. Broken kayaks, literally 6 lounge chairs by the rundown pool, no chairs for bure decks, no hot water, service unfriendly (shocking in Fiji), and oh - we were left for 1.5 hours on a neighboring island because they didn’t pick us up (common according to south sea island). What a shame. We dug into the resort and they are apparently going through bankruptcy, which is how it feels! Under no circumstance should you stay here!

Serenity Island is beautiful and the snorkeling around the island was amazing! The staff at Serenity were wonderful and treated us like family! We enjoyed their beautiful singing everyday and the meals were delicious! We loved our ocean front Burre! Note for management purchasing more complete paddle boards with fins & paddles, and kayaks & paddles and snorkel gear to allow for more guests to enjoy the water sports would make experience even better.

Tired and lacking investment. Go elsewhere

Resort is very tired and aged and unfortunately it relflects in the staff also who seem demotivated and tired. Part of the beach is lovely, but the rest is covered in rubbish that has washed up. The rooms are very small and basic, but sufficient for sleeping. The food is limited and poorly executed (although the Kakonda was good). The drinks are also low quality. Unfortunately the place needs investment but doesnt seem to be getting it. They also charge for a boat transfer from South Sea Island if you're on South Sea Cruises transfer from another resort, claiming there is no direct stop, but this is false as we got dropped at the resort and picked up off the big boat (standard drop off for most resorts). I've queried this unnecessary charge and heard nothing back, which is another example of their service. The pool was closed when we arrived, ladders left out, nails lying on the pool deck.... They also get day trip visits and we had a group arrive during our stay who took and held all the snorkeling gear for most of the day and the day beds around the pool, you get no priority as a paying guest. Bring your own snorkels! Definitely a lot of nicer places in Fiji where you'll get a proper Fijian experience and hospitality for similar (or less) money. Hopefully they can get investment and support soon....
Pool closed with no update or heads up from staff on check in
Nail left on the ground, so I put it on table so someone didn't stand on it.
Ladder left lying around.

Overall, we had a good time. The staff weee very welcoming and nice and the food was above expectations. However a couple items to be aware if you stay here: We chose the all inclusive option but it’s not a true all inclusive resort. Food and drink are only covered during “meal hours” which exclude 2-6 pm. Their system to track all inclusive guests is also faulty as they rely on paper receipts to tally up drinks that don’t have time stamps. So at checkout I was surprised with large charges for drinks that should have been included in the all-inclusive package. Thankfully the staff was great about making adjustments at check out. The only other negatives were that we never received our welcome drinks and communication with staff was difficult (both taxi arrangements never showed up) and room didn’t have bath towels for a day. Not a huge deal but an inconvenient nonetheless.
