This is our third stay in three years to Treasure Island, and we plan to return next year. The staff are so friendly, they make you feel like family. Always doing the small extra things to make your stay memorable.

Treasure Island did not meet expectations. The worst of the problems was the continued raw sewage smell around the island which got worse overnight, preventing me from sleeping in the room and getting sick from the smell. Additionally the toilet tank took 15-20 minutes to refill so several times I needed to use the sink and a glass to refill the back of the tank in order to flush it again. We completely lost water service for a short time, as well as a few brief power outages. (The hotel card said sometimes the power briefly turns off) The bed sheets were too short for the bed so overnight found myself sleeping partially on a bare mattress. There was “junk” all around the island from a bunch of construction, and the buildings/island were not maintained well at all. The construction was loud and started early. The miniature golf course was disgusting and had a dead bird lying in the middle of one of the greens (for who knows how long). It was also unfortunate that all the watersport equipment needed to be returned before 4:30pm. The staff did a good job responding to a freak helicopter crash on the island that was out of their control. Although scary since I was right near the accident, thank goodness everyone was okay from the crash, and that is truly what matters!

Hotel is good and fairly easy to get to despite high transfer fees from airport. Beaches are beautiful. Inland could use some work w better landscaping and beauty. Beachfront burn was nice, this was our honeymoon and would've preferred less kids/families, but overall we had a good stay.
