In need of a revamp

The relais de Margaux is a bit worn out. Rooms are very big but would need a refresh, very disappointing for the price paid. Food was mediocre. Service was good.

Lovely location but in need of some tlc.

The whole hotel looked in need of a bit of repair and a lick of paint. Shower leaked as sealant at base had perished. Room was described as a junior suite with terrace but was just one room with a 2-seater sofa and coffee table (separate bathroom and toilet). So not a suite really. The terrace was good. But it was very clean and tastefully decorated. Staff were absolutely lovely - friendly and helpful. Restaurant was closed and the golf club brasserie menu was very basic so we went elsewhere for dinner. But it served a good breakfast.

Large hotel set in countryside

Large hotel with large rooms. Decor seemed sparse and I think the hotel was more suitable for events. However, the staff and service were good and we enjoyed a nice dinner. My only real criticism was that the room was so cold I could not sleep. It was a cold wet November day and there was no heating. Such a shame as it could have been a pleasant stay.

Nice hotel in good location

Nice hotel just outside the town. 5-minute drive/30 minute walk to the nearest restaurant, which was very good - the hotel’s own restaurant was fully booked. The rooms are spacious but looking a bit tired but the hotel is about to undergo a big refurbishment.

Great location to explore the Bordeaux vineyards

The hotel is in a lovely location, perfect for exploring the Bordeaux vineyards. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but require some modernisation. The staff were very helpful.

The hotel is ideally located to explore the Bordeaux Châteaux. My room was large, comfortable and clean. The pool was very pleasant. The hotel is in need of some modernisation but was very good value for money.

Hotel is nice but need and is under total renovation. It will certainly be great when all is done. Food was very good and the sommelier.was excellent and choosed some very good wines for us. Breakfast was not up to standard to what you expect in such a hotel. As it was 40 degrees the day we stayed the pool was a reason For us to choose this hotel, it was ok but very small. An overall nice stay but we would not pay full price so check for offers.

Good location with great grounds for the dog to run in. We stayed for 2 nights and picked the hotel to play golf but unfortunately when we arrived the golf course had been closed for 9 months and not due to open for another 3! There was no mention of this when we booked with Expedia. Nice large rooms but clearly the amenities let out stay down.
