Especially if you want accommodations within an easy walking distance of the train station. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern. I loved my room, including my balcony with a view toward the river. The Neighbourhood is just OK; again, it’s close to a train station. But within less than five minutes walk, you are in the main touristic parts of the city. You are also right on the river for long easy walks.

The location is perfect for transport - right near Bordeaux St Jean Station and also the local light rail network. It has a very pleasant outlook over the river. The staff are helpful, professional and courteous. My only criticism is that it was difficult to cool the room the way I prefer. But overall a good mid range well priced hotel.

The bathroom was especially nice, big shower, lots of counter space. The staff were friendly and very helpful. There is construction around the corner. So you can’t approach the or leave the hotel on foot, except by detouring to the SCNF Gare, but you can catch the tram from there, to go anywhere you want.
