Hotel, sólo eso un hotel a secas

Hotel incómodo, habitaciones pequeñas, baño pequeño e incómodo, limpieza correcta. nos dijeron que tenían un problema con la calefacción, pues no funcionaba y nos dieron una estufa que utilizamos los tres días que estuvimos, por lo que la conclusión es que el problema era permanente y es lo que deben decir a los clientes que acostumbran ser de una sola noche. Las tres estrellas brillan por su ausencia dos y gracias.

Hotel receptionist was lovely, I checked in with my grandson, in to a family room, on Friday 6th of June. The room had recently been decorated, but there was paint all over the carpet, and the carpet was really shabby. No tv in the room. So we were staying for 2 nights, so I thought not to much of a problem, the beds were pretty decent. The problem was when I went for a shower no water came out, it was trickling out and it was cold. So I went down to reception to complain, the lady was lovely, she came up to the room, and said it wasn’t acceptable obviously with paint all over the carpet and no hot water. She said couldn’t put us in another room as hotel was fully booked. And couldn’t refund us, because we had booked through hotels.com. So I would be very grateful if we could be refunded.

The hotel is undergoing renovations. The elevator doesn’t work. The room was straight out of the 1970’s! Do not book this hotel. It’s old and dirty! The staff were polite, but knocked on the door at 9:30 to ask what time our checkout was.

Pay the extra. It's worth it.

I payed £70 for BNB so I wasn't expecting a great deal . What I wasn't expecting was the hotel is used as temporary accommodation for all walks of life. I returned after a family party close by to be confronted by a Ambulance and it's crew being called for someone who was that drunk,they couldn't crawl. Never mind stand. Then all kinds of people coming in and out of the hotel. I was only in the hotel for a hour at check in,then I slept there. That was enough. I noticed all rooms had the window open.aThete was a readon. All rooms were a million degrees so I had to sleep with the window open all night and suffer the traffic noise. I came down for breakfast to find Ambulance number 2 there taking someone away who obviously lived at the hotel. I am easy going, so,if I say don't stay there,don't. Plus points. The staff were all polite and try and make your stay comfortable. Even though the hotel needs gutting from top to bottom,or knocking down,the bed sheets were clean. This stay was my fault intireley. I went for the cheap option and payed the price. If you want somewhere very cheap,to sleep there, with clean bedsheets,this place is gorgeous you. Otherwise,as I will do moving forward.Pay the extra . I must say ,I have used Hotels.com hundreds of times. This place is a one off. Hopefully.

No Handle on bathroom door in room 127 meaning door kept opening by itself the room was dirty with coffee stains on the table wall and carpet and as for the noise all night just simply not acceptable travelled a long way to be kept awake all night when complained was told we can move you 😫 as a well travelled person i can honestly say this is one of worst ive experienced

From arriving at the front of the hotel, I did wonder what on earth I’d booked. But once I realised you just drive around the back of hotel for checkin. They are under going refurbishment apparently. I was greeted with a nice young man who was very welcoming. I asked where I could go to have a meal and was directed to a lovely pub/restaurant just up the road. Really good meal, again very welcoming. I had booked breakfast & was hoping to have a meal in the hotel, but received a message as soon as I had booked explaining restaurant closes after breakfast. Breakfast was fantastic, although way too much for me to eat. 2 nice ladies, very helpful. Asking what type of egg & tomato would I like. Plenty of choice if you don’t want a full English. Just help yourself, tea, coffee, juice, cereals, bread, fresh fruit. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had & I’ve stayed in many hotels. Baron hotel- your staff are a credit to you. They go above & beyond. If I’m in the area, I won’t hesitate to book again. The only negative I have to say is: Clearer instructions for where to go for checkin, as wasn’t clear.

For £50 per night, it was pretty good value, if you just need a place to sleep. The hotel is under refurbishment, which is needed. Room very dated but was clean, bed was comfortable with tea and coffee amenities in the room. The coffee I made tasted weird, I'd say a new kettle would sort that out. Lidl right across the road. However no lift was working while i was there. The staff were friendly and helpful.

IHad to climb 2 flights of stairs which i did not fond safe. The door clearly had card fob once and eventuallly found the added lock to put the key. TV did not have cable to plug in. Only after complaining and insisting the manager came did they do anything about. They did though provide free breakfast to compensate.. the floor boards outside the room creaked so could hear people walking around outside the room. Overall a hotel in much need of a refurbishment.

As always, check in faultless. Racheal is so friendly nothing is to much trouble,also the young man who works reception is just the same. Its because of them i keep returning here when im in the area.Reasonably priced, comfy bed,tea,coffee provided.My room had a working fridge(bonus keeps the beer cold.)

Avoid

A horrendously below standard room - zero star in my view. Shockingly poor decorating standards, loud pipes causing from other rooms causing intermittent sleep, noisy residents/corridor, key cards not working, unable to shower due to inconsistent water temperature (boiling to freezing), low pressure, poorly maintained and leaks, brown water in one room and really bad lime scale in the other (couldn’t be drank), broken window (smashed and unable to close), unable to watch TV as the aerial wasn’t tuned (portable aerial unable to tune). Avoid unless you want no sleep, don’t clean your teeth, wash and like to sit staring at the wall! However, the only good thing about the stay was the breakfast and the price, although that room should have been free of charge.

Comfortable Stay

Best staff ever, couldn't do enough for me. The hotel it self has seen better days. But the staff make it brilliant. Although dated the rooms are the most comfortable I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was a continental and full English. Bacon, beans, hash browns, sausage and choice of egg type. There were cold meats, pastrys, fresh fruit tea, coffee (filter) orange and apple juice. Very comfortable lounge with TV. When I arrived back from a day at work fresh coffee was always offered by the staff by here is a bar but no alcoholic drinks. If you looking for a 5 star hotel this is not for you. If Yiu looking for a comfortable stay and friendly amazing staff then this is the one.

Well worth a stay

Ive stayed here a few times and i cant fault it.Ratchel on reception is great and so is her Male colleague.Nothing is to much trouble and they are very welcoming and friendly. It is reasonably priced,rooms are big with a comfy bed,tea and coffee in the room. Decent bathroom with a in bath shower all very clean.Although they dont open for food in the evening you can order a takeaway and eat it in the breakfast room with cutlery and plates provided.
