Modernes Hotel mit leichten Einschränkungen

Wir waren für 5 Tage in Berlin und haben im The Base Berlin ONE übernachtet. Das Hotel und unser Zimmer sind neu und modern eingerichtet. Das Zimmer war sauber und bot ausreichend Platz. Ein täglicher Zimmerservice ist kein Standard, was uns aber nicht störte. Das Frühstück war sehr eintönig. Es bestand aus den täglich gleichen Zutaten (1 Brötchen, 1 Croissant, etwas Wurst und Käse, Ei, Butter und Marmelade) auf einem vorbereiteten Teller. Dazu eine Tasse Kaffee. Obst, Gemüse etc. wurden nicht angeboten. Für ein bis zwei Nächte noch akzeptabel. Bei einem längeren Aufenthalt hängt einem das irgendwann zum Hals raus. Obwohl unsere Kreditkarte bereits vor dem Check-In belastet wurde, mussten wir beim Self Check-In noch einmal bezahlen, da wir ansonsten nicht ins Hotel gekommen wären. Nach einigem Hin und Her wurde uns der doppelt bezahlte Betrag dann einige Tage später zurück erstattet. Insgesamt können wir das Hotel empfehlen, wenngleich wir bei einem längeren Aufenthalt das Frühstück hier weglassen würden. Dafür gibts ausreichende abwechslungsreiche Angebote in der näheren Umgebung.

As the name suggests this is a great place to base yourself for a Berlin trip. Train links 10-15 minutes on foot or 5 by tram/bus. The room was basically an apartment with all you could need. Clean and tidy.

Laid-back hotel that has a casual hostel-type feel. It’s sort of tucked away in one of the nicer parts of Pankow, about a fifteen minute walk from U-Bahnhof Pankow. I would definitely stay again.
