We were offered an upgrade on arrival but had to decline two options before being given a room that suited us (didnt like the ground level options). Once settled, our stay was wonderful overall — the room itself was lovely, comfortable, and we were especially thankful for the fan as it was quite warm. The staff were amazing — friendly, helpful, and very welcoming throughout our stay. Unfortunately, housekeeping was disappointing. We’d return each day to find only the bed made, but with lint (almost as if the bedding had been dropped on the floor). The room really needed a good sweep, the counters wiped, and used glasses replaced — small details that make a big difference. The photos on the website don’t quite represent the current state of the lobby. It felt tired and in need of a deep clean and some furniture refresh. With some attention to cleaning and maintenance, this property could easily match the level of service provided by its excellent staff.

Fabulous suite close to everything but we didn't hear a peep from outside. Really comfy bed and fantastic shower. Less than a minute from Sbahn station. Close to Dom and a wide variety of bars and restaurants.

It was a well put together room, clean and modern. Weird thing but the pillows were so soft they sort of disappeared beneath your head and they had no alternatives - this affected my friends sleep. But overall very impressed and loved the location.

Very friendly and helpful staff at both reception and housekeeping, but the 'double room' I had was too tiny to move in (but that didn't matter because I was out at work all day). The main problem was, that it was also too dark. Such small rooms need net curtains to let in light and ensure privacy (mine faced a roof terrace and other rooms, so I couldn't keep the heavy, dark drapes open). More bulbs and brighter interiors are needed.

Amazing boutique hotel with exceptional service.

Great boutique hotel with a beautiful rooftop bar and located in an amazing area full of restaurants and shopping. The service was impeccable. The reception staff are extremely helpful and polite and the hotel in general was well serviced. The rooms are well kept, comfortable, and modern with air-conditioning.

This hotel is very convenient for the heart of Mitte. The room I had was quite small and a little worn, but generally fine. The most significant issue is the noise. I could hear doors and windows opening and closing, water running and even someone’s phone ringing, something I haven’t noticed in other hotels and not ideal if you’re a light sleeper.

The Monbijou is always my first choice for Berlin. The only reason I did not give it five stars on property condition was because my bathroom sink leaked significantly when I arrived and took a day to fix. Housekeeping should have caught it (water was running straight down the pipe onto the floor). Housekeeping also left some strange metal part in the shower -- I never did learn what that was all about.
