Fairly priced. Located in an excellent area with good public transport nearby. Kitchen was adequately stocked, but fridge had no freezer section. Beds & Linen were clean and comfortable. Could be a tad cleaner, but some might be just the slightly dated interior.

we liked that there was a kitchenette and a grocery store half a block away. there was a nice park across the street and it was a walk to the train station which took us everywhere we wanted to go at the price of a 48 hr berlin pass.

Not worth the low rate.

This place is a joke. You get what you pay for. It's an apartment building, where a large majority of the apartments are clearly let out to people from the middle east. Not that it's a problem for me, but it seems to be for the owners. An elderly gentleman, his somewhat younger wife, and a secretary at about the same age, as the wife. I committed the error, of using my knowledge of German. The couple clearly can not handle foreigners speaking German, and handle them there after. Very condescending. Use English. Be aware, that the secretary, can be very condescending about you, even though you are right in front of her, and she doesn't really care about the wife telling her not to. Don't expect any service at all, if you arrive after 20 / 8pm. Very small rooms. Small bathroom/shower/toilet, and not that clean. Don't use the shower. Hot water is an on/off relationship. As I said to start with. You get what you pay for, but this is too cheap. Go some where else!

Great for the Price

The hotel operators were mostly friendly even when the language barrier got in the way a little bit. The hotel was once an apartment building and uses the old apartments as hotel rooms. We stayed two nights in one room and were able to book a different room for a third night after we decided to stay longer. The staff was very helpful in that regard. There was some confusion during the switch over, but it worked out well. We paid 10 Euro per day for their gated parking which was WELL worth the price. We were within walking distance of Schloss Charlottenburg and many different restaurants (there was a grocery store right on the corner less than a block away). The rooms were interesting. Both had refrigerators, a sink, and dishes enough to accommodate the amount of guests meant to be in the room. There was also a microwave and an electric coffee/tea maker. The first was a one bedroom apartment made to fit four people. There was a bed in the "kitchen/living" area. It was a little crowded, but not uncomfortable. The second room had one double bed with a stowaway bed right next to it, and a roll-away bed in the hallway. Although cramped, it was still comfortable. Our only discomforts were the hard mattresses.

The room was hot. The street was very noisy. We asked for a no smoking room, but got one on smoking floor. Smoke from the floor below billowed into our room. The shower was terrible. The refrigerator didn't hardly cool. The kitchen dishes were mismatched and several were missing. Bed linens were old, stiff and had holes.

Apartmenthaus Sybille Hecke

Perfect for families: clean, comfortable, excellent position for both private and public transport, not expensive. Everything worked and the small kitchen allowed us to have breakfast and dinner by our own. We would go there again.

It´s a simple but nice and clean overnight accommodation, very good and centrally located in a beautiful part of Berlin. Pubs and restaurants are within walking distance.
