New Jersey trip

Me and my son spent 5 days here while he was attending a hockey training camp. The location is perfect - 5 minutes to the highway - and a short 5 minute walk to the beach. Great neighborhood.

Last Minute Getaway

When our original travel plans fell through, we were able to quickly and easily book a stay at the Beach Bum! It was perfect and provided everything we needed. Clean, cozy, and close to the beach!

Lovely Belmar Cottage

Just perfect!! Host thoughtfully provided everything one would need. Very cozy but plenty of room! Clean and updated. Great location, easy walk to boardwalk, beach and town. Looking forward to a return visit!

Great weekend at the Beach Bum in Belmar

My husband and I were looking for a long weekend (post Labor Day) at the beach & we found it at the Beach Bum. Good location. Lots of choices for good restaurants close by. The house was clean and quiet. Cody was attentive and accessible.

Relaxing short vacation

I booked a 4 night stay for my family (2 adults, 1 child). I was very happy about our stay. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, I really liked that we didn't have to bring our own bedding and that there were extra beach towels. It was an easy 3 block walk to the beach, and the location is quiet and family friendly. My daughter loved the solar lights that were hung outside. It was a great little place for the three of us. Check in instructions and address were emailed a few days before the trip and were easy to follow.

Cozy Cottage Stay

This was a perfect place for a quick getaway. The driveway parking was very convenient. The cottage was clean and perfect size for my daughter, 2 year old grandson, and myself. My grandson and I enjoyed playing within the secure, fenced in area right outside the cottage front door. Truly enjoyed the outdoor space furniture for reading, also the hanging lights in the evening provided a very relaxing ambiance. It was nice having a full washer and dryer available too. Owners had the place well stocked with the necessities!! Would book again and highly recommend.

The perfect shore rental!

The Beach Bum is a super clean, well maintained property - with everything you could possibly need for a vacation stay down the shore (towels, beach chairs, kitchen appliances, washer/dryer). It is a very cute property inside and out. The driveway is huge asset, as parking can be hard to find during the summer months in Belmar.

Beyond expectation

My family and I really felt very at home. The home was extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable, and the attention to detail was amazing. Everything you could need was provided Also Considerate touches like coffee beans, grinder, spices, aluminum foil, beach towels and chairs to many to mention were really appreciated. We really don’t like hotels and we really felt at home here. Finally last but not least, Cody the host was really kind and helpful. He never made us feel like we were a bother and we even asked for restruant recommendations. Also, a special thank you to the house keeper who ran out as we were leaving-to give me my novel. Great place to stay

Winter Stay

Very solid little building in nice quiet neighborhood. New appliances and firm memory foam mattresses. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials, Host very responsive and helpful. My only complaint is that the sofa was not at all comfortable. There are 2 similar houses on this lot. The large outside-view photo for both listings on the VRBO site show the same house which can be confusing.

Cozy beach bungalow

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this cozy bungalow. The property was exactly as advertised. Very clean, nice location on a quiet street, nice amenities. Cody was very accommodating and very responsive. We enjoyed the fresh coffee beans every morning and the outdoor patio was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the evening. Will definitely plan to stay again when we visit Belmar. Thanks for making our beach getaway so enjoyable and hassle free!

Another great stay!

2nd time staying at this property with my mom and toddler and it was perfect! A clean home with driveway access only few blocks from the beach. Short drive to great restaurants and other cute seaside towns too. We’re already looking forward to returning next summer!

Cozy House At the Beach

The property is as listed and when you walk in it is just adorable. Everything about the beach house is great, including the convenience of parking since parking on the street can be difficult. I loved how easy it was to check in and checking out was a breeze.The host Cody is gracious and will respond to any questions you may have before and during your stay.I will definitely book a stay there again.

Perfect space for what we needed

We needed a quiet place to stay for a wedding with all the amenities of a home. We had looked into the wedding blocks at a hotel that also had a kitchens in each suite but we needed two bedrooms and this was a better price per night with some additional privacy. This was my first time booking through VRBO and the host was great at helping us accommodate an earlier check in and answering all my questions in a very timely manner.

Lovely small cottage

This was just as described online (perhaps even a bit cleaner and nicer than you can see in the pictures). Cottage was very well-appointed for a short stay, everything was in great condition. Host is very thoughtful. Very short walk to beach, food, playground, etc. No complaints!

Stop looking - rent this place!

Located 5 blocks from everything in all directions, this beach bungalow has everything you need and is everywhere you want to be. 2 comfortable bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a newly redone kitchen and comfy living room/dining table. Private and quiet, off the street with ample parking. Cody is incredibly responsive and has thought of everything you need (including coffee beans and grinder). Walk 3.5 blocks to the beach and 4 blocks to Main St and all the restaurants. Highly recommend.

Nice place for family of 3 or couple and 3rd wheel

Small but enjoyable. 3+ blocks to beach or main street restaurants and bars. Streaming TV is fine just make sure you have your passwords. Lack of cable TV meant i had to to go out to watch hockey game which i couldnt stream. Other than that very nice stay.
