Quirky, pleasant stay

The hotel feels more like a B&B, quite personalised and homely, but equally a bit basic/thrifty. The food at dinner and breakfast was good and they are proud of their use of local produce. Served us fine for our need.

Location and Staff are the only things worth the stay in this hotel. The hotel appears dirty, the carpets are very dirty and stained throughout. Our room had two nearly empty rolls of toilet paper upon our arrival and although they made the bed every morning, they never cleaned the toilets! They advertised a/c but when we asked they said they only turn the a/c on when the temperature gets very hot so we slept with the window opened but with no screen and the property borders a wooded are so we found a few bugs in the room in the morning. They did provide us with a fan. Breakfast is mediocre at best and it is not free. Sorry will not be staying here again although the staff was very friendly but not enough to compensate for the overall condition of the property

Watch out for this urine smelling hotel

I received the key to a room, but instantly after entering i felt a smell or odour of urine. I went down to the receptionist and asked for another room. She told me that it would smell the same because it is the smell of the cleaning aid used. How is it possible, using/producing cleaning aids which smells the same as urine? I left the hotell. We now have a legal issue regarding the payment.

Good hotel for the price. Easy parking and check in. The interior is modern seems like a school. Small issue at check in. As I broken my heel recently and they DON’T have elevator, I asked for a room on the ground, they put me on last floor. Too bad!

Lovely hotel. Very quirky since it’s changed it’s name and had a massive refurbish which was well due. My only complaint was the fact that the shower head cradle was missing so had no where to put shower head and have a shower. Had to hold the shower over me. Loved the themed dinner of a cheese fondue.

Lovely hotel. Wonderful welcome on arrival from a lovely lady called Rosemary. I don’t think we have ever had such a lovely welcome on check in. Breakfast was delightful Will definitely 100% return to stay again!
