The Story No Family Should Ever Go Through
Crowne Plaza Barranquilla – A Name I Won’t Forget
I booked two nights at this hotel for someone who hadn’t seen her children in three and a half years.
I planned a surprise – a warm, emotional reunion:
A hotel room.
The kids waiting.
Signs.
Hugs.
Tears.
Everything.
Then the airline changed the flight.
I reached out to the hotel in time — not asking for a refund, not even a discount.
Just human decency.
They didn’t reply.
I followed up.
I called.
I begged.
Still silence.
Meanwhile, her daughter traveled 1.5 hours with the kids to check in early, just like the front desk had promised me on the phone.
When they arrived?
They were ignored.
Dismissed.
Refused entry.
No one helped.
No one cared.
They watched three children and a young woman stand in the lobby with hope in their eyes… and then be turned away.

Not because we canceled.
