Have no words to describe this property! Is absolutely amazing, location is great, the Borgo ( San Donato) is spectacular. The breakfast was delicious and handmade by Mary. Hostess Maria and Mary always was aware of our necessities in the hotel. Highly recommended for those who are looking for peace and rest in beautiful Tuscany!

We loved our stay here! Everything was absolutely perfect! The house was gorgeous. The breakfast was wondering and made to order everyday. Along with yogurt, fruit and home baked cakes. The beds were very comfortable. The view was to die for. It was extremely clean. Maria was so kind and welcoming. Everyone else also went above and beyond to help in anyway we needed. Also the town was very cute with a few really good places to eat. We would love to come back again someday. ❤️❤️

My husband and I both really enjoyed our stay at this property. Maria and Mary really make us feel at home. We were greeted with a piece of home-made cake and cappuccino. We really loved the whirlpool bathtub in our bathroom which was very helpful after the long walks with touring the hill towns. Right next door is an excellent, Michelin-rated restaurant called La Toppa which served excellent food and had very friendly staff. Maria even went out of her way to make an inquiry phone call to assist me in finding a church where my grandparents were married in the early 1900s, as I cannot speak Italian. This property is nicely centered in the Chianti region, making it short commutes to several of the hill towns and wineries.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! The most charming and scenic town I’ve ever seen. I actually stayed at Palazzo Malaspina once as a child. It was easily my favorite vacation. The people I went with still talk about it today. So 15 years later, as an adult, the first vacation I decided to go on had to be here. The palazzo itself is very nice, very well maintained, quality wooden furniture, big beds, brand new slippers for the guests in the bathrooms, all the goods. And if you’re lucky enough to get a room with the balcony, a LOVELY view. And the hospitality is unmatched. The owner and the other woman that was working there were so kind, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was so good. You can taste the freshness and quality in all of it. Such a great trip! I highly recommend it.

A BandB with plenty of character, a helpful host, and delightful staff. Maria the host and Mary, her staff were very nice an DC made our stay very enjoyable. Maria baked a wonderful marmalade tort pie and Mary was there each morning to cook me some scrambled eggs and brew cappuccino. There was rhe lovely fruit salad and fresh croissants as well. Plenty to eat. The location wss set in the small hill town of San Donato with their highly rated La Toppa restaurant next door. We enjoyed dinner there a few times. Also, it is possible to get a bus to Florence from there but the return is a little tricky. A short drive to the primary Chianti spots and San Gimignano that has sadly turned into a major tourist trap with a bunch of souvenir and clothing vendors hawking their goods. But, we loved the charm of San Donato and Palazzo Malaspina.
