This rental unit had some great stuff going for it, but also a few things it could definitely improve on. I'll highlight both:Plusses: - Great location and parking. You can drive in, park easily, and then enjoy all of Bar Harbor on foot. This makes enjoying this area very stress free. - Having a dedicated master suite upstairs is really nice, and a full kitchen and living room downstairs is awesome - The bird themed decor is so whismical and fun. Our whole family enjoyed it so much. - Being able to refresh our laundry in the unit was super convenient.Minuses: - The pull out sleeper sofa is VERY uncomfortable. We've stayed at a number of VRBOs with sleeper sofas and our who family agreed that this one was the worst. After the first night, we opted to just pull the mattress onto the floor and forego the sleeper-sofa plan. It was more work but worth being able to actually sleep. - The drinkware provided in the kitchen was lacking. There were only a couple of water glasses and one (cracked) wine glass. All said, it was a nice spot to stay, but could be made quite a bit nicer with a few small improvements.
