The Peaceful Austin Cottage and Brian, the owner, were one of the best rentals my family has ever enjoyed. Brian was responsive to my questions prior to arrival. His home is indeed peaceful, in a quiet neighborhood in east Austin.
The home is tastefully remodeled, yet still retains some of its original charm and construction. The wood floors are really nice to walk on. There is a large backyard with many shade trees, and a large covered patio with comfortable furniture.
The remodeled kitchen has high-end appliances, cookware and cutlery. All things I really appreciated as a former professional cook.
The remodeled bathroom has a double-sink, and large shower and toilet area separated by a door. Something my wife appreciated.
We highly recommend this Peaceful Austin Cottage and its owner Brian, if your travel plans take you to Austin. As we discovered while staying there, Brian also has a second residence behind his home that he also rents out. Don't let the lack of reviews keep you from taking a close look at this property. It may possibly be due to the home only being available for rent for a short prior period.

Best Vrbo we've stayed in! Highly recommend!
We loved our stay! The home exceeded our expectations. It was roomy, sunny, well-appointed, clean, quiet, private, and very well-decorated. It has a cottage feel but all of the modern amenities expected in a top-notch home with a chef's kitchen and everything you could ask for to make a family meal on vacation.
We loved the backyard, and found the location and neighborhood to be perfect for our long weekend stay in Austin. Enough space for our family of 4, and walking distance to many great options for food, drink, and sightseeing -- and when we wanted to venture out further, Ubers always arrived within 2 minutes!
I would stay here again or recommend it to others with no hesitation.

I believe this was easily our favorite vrbo trip. From the comfortable environment to the wonderful suggestions of where to eat and what to see to the thoughtfulness of the details of the home and kitchen set up….absolutely wonderful. Vacationed with my two teen daughters and felt welcomed and safe and had a glorious time. Even got a tattoo at Black Dagger….greatest trip can’t wait to come back! Photos don’t do it justice.
