We hated to leave! This clean, stylish, comfortable, well-appointed and well-managed house was the perfect place to stay on our 2-night / 3-day stay at Mount Rainier!
We visited Seattle first, and needed two hotel rooms for our 5 adults. When we arrived at this VRBO, we were very happy to have a whole place where we could all hang out together. We started laundry, hopped in the hot tub (already warmed up for us!), turned on the gas fire pit, and cooked a dinner together. It was very nice to have the three bedrooms. After hiking, my daughter stretched in the cute little yoga area.
As we drove from Seattle to Ashford, we were aware there would not be a full grocery store, so we stopped at the last big grocery store on-route; so glad we did! We bought cold-insulated grocery bags to keep our food fresh, as we were going to the mountain for a few hours before the 4:00 check-in.
We found it so well-stocked that we did not need several items we bought at the grocery store: Laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dish soap, ground coffee, filters, condiments (ketchup, mayo, mustard), ziplock sandwich bags, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, were all provided.
We grilled, cooked, and packed hiking lunches.
This is the nicest VRBO we have ever been to!
Tip 1: Cell service is unreliable in Ashford, so download your email with entry code and host's contact information before you get close to Ashford.
Tip 2: Book timed entry to Rainier for each day in advance!
