The property was clean, but needed some TLC. The steps up to the property are also very steep which is a bit challenging when you have big suitcases!

The apartment was charming and had everything we needed. We loved taking the cruise on Loch Lomond and hiking by the Inn. The cruise took off right across from the apartment. The train station was a 10 minute walk which was convenient for us. The closest food store was over a mile away, without a car it was a bit far. The host was very accommodating. Temperature varied greatly from upstairs to downstairs.

We stopped here for a couple of days on our way to the Hebrides. The flat was exactly as we had hoped, and there are several excellent eating places nearby in Tarbet and Arrochar. We had left ourselves a full day in the hope of good September weather and this hope was looked kindly upon by the powers above (clouds, sun, wind and absence of midges) so that we were able to undertake a longish walk up to Loch Sloy and back. Unfortunately the construction of electricity pylons for overhead lines by heavy plant up through Glen Loin has led to considerable destruction of this formerly wild and beautiful landscape since the last time I was up there, but I trust that woodland and wetness will win over in the end, and that the current massive eyesore of a broad gravel road ascending from Stronafyne Farm will be truly temporary!
