Nice people but realistically not a great hotel
The best way to summarise is very friendly and nice people but the hotel is very dated with plenty of flaws - but you get what you pay for. I just think 3 stars is way overrated though.
Food included in the evening depends on the day - I suspect they are using the microwave a lot rather than scratch cooking as i was hearing it ringing constantly.
This hotel has probably not seen a refurbishment since the 90s at best. Everything looks dated and obviously, it impacts its cleanliness. The shower is Barry big enough for 1 - if you are overweight or 2m high, good luck.
Barely anything provided in the bathroom and towels are the size of a handkerchief.
Insulation is extremely poor and the noise both from the street (there are rooms at the back must be more quiet) and from other guests was pretty loud and waking us up.
We had a little balcony - now be mindful of that as people are eating underneath - but more interestingly birds were living on the roof over it - we left our beach towels outside to dry … and found them covered in bird poo - because they are obviously cleaning the balcony you only find out on the morning after so watch out.
I think the best moment was when I asked for a boiled egg - very nicely they brought one although not on the breakfast menu … but it was rotten. Speaking about breakfast go for french style as the continental one comes with very poor cheap quality charcuterie.
A thorough refurbishment is badly required.
