FilippouVilla-Living in Nature

A fully renovated old traditional house, surrounded by cypress and scents of thyme and herbs of the Cretan mountains, located in the traditional and isolated village Filippos near Vrysses, 30 km from Chania, 45 km from the airport and 3 km from the nearest beach in Georgioupolis.

It is consisted of three fully separated and renovated spaces which are described as follow:
-The main house with traditional architecture with 2 loft bedrooms, which can accommodate up to 4 adults.
A τwo storey apartment with jacuzzi, which can ammodate 3 adults.
-A smaller studio which can accommodate up to 2 adults.
All rooms are air conditioned with fully equipped kitchen, wifi internet, fireplace, tv ,refrigerator & washing machine.
Every room has access to swimming pool, children side pool, umbrellas and sunbeds, lovely garden and playground, barbeque and wood oven.
The swiming pool is about 50sqm (5x10).
Upon arrival you will be offered wine, traditional tsikoudia and olive oil from our family's production.
The villa is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and 4 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with 5 bedrooms. The bathroom offers a jetted tub and hair dryers. Other standard amenities include a private pool, a washing machine, and a fireplace.

Wij verbleven hier van 11 tot 25 september 2025 met ons gezin. We hebben hier een top tijd gehad! Het zwembad is heerlijk, alles is heel schoon en buiten kun je heerlijk zitten in het gras. Het is een heerlijk huis met ieder z’n eigen plekje om te slapen. Andreas en zijn vader zijn heel gastvrij en helpen je met allerlei vragen. De mensen in de buurt zijn ook heel gastvrij, beneden in t dorpje hebben we heerlijk gegeten.Ook de bbq op het erf is super! Kortom wij komen hier zeker terug!Bedankt Andreas!!

Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold i 16 dager. Meget fint sted, med perfekt basseng og god beliggenhet tilbaketrukket fra masseturismen. Et fint utgangspunkt for utflukter med bil med kort vei til flotte strender og Chania Rethymnon. Huset er inndelt i tre seksjoner med vært sitt kjøkken og soveplasser perfekt for 2 familier som reiser sammen. God kommunikasjon med vert hele veien. Den lokale lille restauranten i Maza (nærmeste landsby ca 1 km unna) anbefales på det sterkeste for en autentisk lokal matopplevelse. Takk for oss!

FilippouVilla was absolutely perfect - a little paradise in Crete with very accommodating owner.

We had a fantastic stay, from the moment we were greeted on arrival by Andreas with wonderful Cretan food and drink, to the moment we left (as close to the very last minute as we could make it!). The villa was perfect for our extended family group - excellently equipped and laid out for a large group wanting to spend long evenings relaxing, eating, drinking. Everyone had plenty of room, comfortable bedding, good bathrooms, well equipped kitchens and immaculately looked-after pool and gardens (complete with plentiful vines). We used the barbecue area, and especially the large dining table in the shade, and the seated area with large sun-umbrella a lot. The beach town of Georgiopoulos is a very easy 10/15-minute drive from the villa, where there are boat-trips, water-sports and nice bars along the beach front. We didn't explore the island greatly, because it was too tempting to enjoy the villa itself. Andreas and his father were the perfect owners - available when we needed to ask a question, and bearing gifts such as olive oil and raki - but never intrusive. The drive from Chania airport is very easy (under an hour). The village is very, very quiet - no shops or bars at all - but there is a nice little, non-touristy town about 10 minutes' drive or 30-40 minutes walk where you can stock up on food etc.
