Amazing location with incredible views. The pool was brilliant and the property had good facilities, even a couple of family games to use during bad weather. We had a sand storm during our stay that knocked out the WiFi, but our host was helpful and efficient at sorting it out quickly. We had a great stay and would love to visit again.

I'll start by saying that the views from this Villa are very beautiful. To find the Villa, use google maps! The roads are very rocky but if you have a bigger vehicle, you should be fine. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great during our visit, so we weren't able to use the pool at all. This is something that can't be controlled but when booking because of the pool, make sure to come during the summer season. Hopefully the host will consider making the pool a heated pool so guests who come when it's cold, can still enjoy the pool. For cleanliness, I expected it to be cleaner. For example, the tablecloth on the dining table was very dirty. We tried cleaning it but ended up just taking it off during our stay. The towels we were given were very old and stained (they were once white but looked grey), I would have appreciated some newer and cleaner towels. Although this is true, the host was very considerate as they provided a crib and highchair for my one year old, which made things a lot easier. One thing I really wasn't happy with, was the internet. This was an extra fee which I didn't think was fair and it wasn't great and only worked when you were downstairs. I'm sure the villa is more enjoyable during the summer, but all in all, this Villa was beautiful, but it could benefit from some upgrades and changes like new games, a heated pool, new towels and a binder that gave all the information and instructions you would need during the stay.

Lovely peaceful villa out of the way down a bumpy track (car essential!) Vultures circling overheard, butterflies and goat bells. Beautiful views of sea and mountains. Kitchen well equipped, comfortable lounge with everything you need if the weather is not perfect. There are loud cats that want to be fed. Lovely pool and outside space as well as balconies. We had a very relaxing stay. Our only criticism is that some of the bedrooms are quite musty smelling and very dusty - could do with a deep clean.

We had the most wonderful stay at this exclusive villa in Kefalas. The location is breath-taking – with panoramic views of the sea and the White Mountains that changed beautifully throughout the day. The villa itself is private, peaceful, and has a true home-from-home feel, with everything you need to settle in comfortably. The pool was a great size and got lots of use! Fantastic BBQ area too. Our host was outstanding – always available, incredibly helpful, and made everything so easy for us. We especially loved the little touches of local life, like hearing the goats in the mornings and evenings, which made the experience even more memorable.Local amenities are just a short drive into the village, and beaches like Almirida, Kalives, and Georgioupoli are an easy drive away. Chania airport was also very convenient, about 45 minutes.We couldn’t recommend this villa more highly – it’s the perfect place if you’re looking for comfort, peace, and views that you’ll never forget.

The Perfect Villa

We chose this villa based on the amazing reviews from previous guests - and now we'll add our own. The location of the Villa is perfect high on the cliffs looking out over the sea. It feels remote, but it is only two minutes from Kefalas with a couple of tavernas and a mini market and 20 minutes drive from Georgioupoli and Almyrida with more amenities. The villa and grounds are both of a good size, with a superb infinity pool and the BBQ house/outdoor kitchen is a great addition. Being so high up, there was a cooling breeze to keep the edge off the heat as well which was a bonus. We could have spent all week at the Villa but there are plenty of lovely beaches and swim/snorkelling spots within easy reach - Octopus Bay was the best for a snorkel. It goes without saying a hire car is needed here and the track is rough but entirely manageable if you take it slowly. Communication with Pon was simple and easy, he helpfully advised where we could hire a boat (Antonis in Almyrida), the best supermarket etc. and directions were detailed and very helpful. Overall we had an amazing week in the most amazing Villa, thank you Pon!

Stunning location

The villa is amazing. All amenities included, except WiFi. There is an odd request for £50 for this after we booked. The WiFi doesn’t reach upstairs. The pool and gardens are regularly maintained and are beautiful. The view is stunning. It’s an out of the way location, so peaceful but you need a car. Many beaches a short drive away. The villa is well managed and any requests were dealt with immediately. Definitely recommend a stay here for a peaceful holiday.

Pure bliss off the beaten track

Perfect view of sea and mountains off the beaten track. Bit tricky to find but well worth it. The villa had everything you need and the manager responded to queries very quickly over WhatsApp . It was lovely waking up to the sound of the sheep and goats running past with their little bells. A car is a must and there’s lots to do in surrounding areas. Such a lovely holiday

Peaceful Paradise

Such a beautiful house in very well maintained gardens with large pool. Amazing views in every direction. We completely relaxed and barely dragged ourselves away from the pool. Great BBQ facilities and everything you need for an amazing relaxing holiday. Cannot fault it.

Relaxing Holiday

If you want a quiet, relaxing, first class holiday, this is for you. Lovely, well equipped Villa, superb infinity pool, really well kept gardens and absolutely fantastic views over the bay and the mountains. You need a car as the Villa is at the end of a 900 meter dirt track but that has its advantages as there is no passing traffic except maybe the goats and sheep! There are local tavernas and mini market but if you are prepared to go a little further afield there are lots of beaches, restaurants and shops within easy reach. We had a superb holiday and would not hesitate to go back (travel restrictions allowing)

Quaint Cretan Villa with a stunning view of the sea & mountains

Our family stayed for 2wks in Aug 2021. Kefalas The location is off the beaten track, and does require driving on rocky pathway (600m) from the nearest proper road, but it's well worth it. The location is absolutely breathtaking and secluded. Villa The villa itself is compact & comfortable, adequately clean, and yes there are insects if you leave food lying around like any place in a natural habitat - we weren’t too concerned, just be disciplined to clean the kitchen after use. Recommend storage of food in jars, Tupperware or fridge. The kitchen is small, and probably could do with an overhaul. All the rooms are AC fitted. TV had issues, but do you really need it on holiday? WiFi is not super fast but adequate, so was somewhat puzzling to have to pay extra… better include it from the beginning. The villa’s main electricity operates when a plastic card is inserted into a wall socket, with the main house keys tied together, locking the main door for the evening, meant the whole villa would go dark temporarily. Moreover, we couldn’t leave the dishwasher or the washing machine running while we were out, so plan to run these immediately back on arrival. Garden During the day, as it's high up on the hills, the sea breeze is comforting against the heat. If the beach waves are a bit rough due to strong winds, the villa’s garden pool is not a bad alternative. At night, low light pollution means you benefit from the spectacle of stars/Milky Way above you! Goats roam the neighbouring olive farms so if you’re an early bird, you may hear their bells. Infinity Pool is cool and always fresh as water supply trickling in, the villa and the garden is fully landscaped and irrigated. Our visit coincided with Figs and small Oranges being ripe - so combining it with cheese, was perfect snack. BBQ hut was very useful extension to the kitchen. Owner Pon, the friendly landlord is always readily available for help. We appreciated the 'hands’-on approach whenever we needed him - from detailed directions on arrival to where to go for dinner/shopping. You can’t help but be impressed by the care he gives to his villa/garden, especially compared to the surrounding harsh landscape and terrain… it really stand out as an oasis on top of the hill. Overall, we were extremely happy with the villa - If you’re looking for a chilled out family Villa, set amongst an unspoilt Cretan countryside, but with all the modern comforts, this is definitely the place to stay!

Home needs some love, outside view and pool are lovely

A beautiful view with a great outside patio. With that being said the inside of the home was dirty and smelly. There were ants in the kitchen and while watching TV an error message kept appearing, something about the wireless adapter. All channels were in German. Again, we loved the outside pool, view and grill area but inside of the home needs some work. Owner called me the day of making reservation and asked how many people were staying. Upon answering he said he has to charge extra for additional cleaning services. I did not understand this explanation as cleaning services are already included in the cost of the rental. After researching this same home for different dates with 4 guests, the price did not change. Had the home inside been cleaner, maintained and without insects we would have been much happier with our stay.

Lovely villa

The villa is in a very beautiful place with stunning views across the bay. When we arrived it was spotlessly clean with some really nice welcoming touches. Because of the location of the villa, views from the bedroom balconies (especially the sunrise, if you're up early enough) are beautiful. The grounds around the building are well maintained with apple, grapefruit and olive trees. The villa itself is clean and well equipped with all that is needed.The infinity pool is perfect for being in and looking across the bay. The outside kitchen/barbeque is perfect for a long lazy evening. Kefalas village is only a 20 minute walk away, with bars and tavernas, a kids playground and two supermarkets. The walk through the village especially at night back to the villa is something nice. Pon, the owner is a really nice person, we had niggling concerns over the pool (there was a morning of high winds which blew some surface soil into the water, not enough to make it unusable, it just didn't look very inviting), but with one phone call it was sorted with the pool man coming around the next day. Pon even phoning back to make sure it had been cleaned. Because of the Covid restrictions nowhere was especially busy, but that in an unusual way added to its charm. We would highly recommend this villa.

crete 2020 holiday (2nd visit this year)

well maintained and presented all clean and servicable,only drawback no maid service midweek and having to take rubbish to nearest bins on main road, there was no rubbish bags for use in the kitchen or for the 2 bathrooms if every visitor purchased a roll of bags there would be hundreds of bags at the end of the year should really be supplied,you need a 4x4 to navigate the track as there is a large rock protruding in the last left hand turn towards property and as it was dark on our approach on arriving we bottomed out on it as we only has a city car.

Breathtaking views with an amazing pool and villa!

Where do I start?! We had such an amazing time at this beautiful three bedroom villa. The garden was beautiful on arrival, with fig, Apple and olive trees. The view was breathtaking, I had to pinch myself. Such an amazing setting in a remote location for true peace and quiet. Only the gentle sound of goat bells and crickets! The swimming pool is a great size, clean and lovely temperature. The children (7,5&1) were delighted to see the pool and many inflatables/toys kindly left by the owner for us when we arrived. They jumped straight in! In terms of other things that helped us as parents, was a great high chair, a proper sturdy comfortable cot and blackout shutters in all the rooms. Plastic cups and bowls and little forks for kids-could do with plastic plates too. The beds were sturdy and comfortable mattresses which make a huge difference once in holiday. Pon the owner helped us so much to enjoy the holiday, he arranged a rental car with a competitive price (with free child seats and additional driver-and no hidden costs!! ) He prepared the villa for the children with swimming pool toys, inflatables, games and even a Buggy for my 1yo! It was a bit old-but did the trick and saved us bringing one! (We carried on a beach trailer instead of buggy!) Pon responded to any queries we had and has a fantastic welcome team who would rush out to bring us things we needed, like an extra sheet or a broken item etc.... We were so impressed. When we arrived, it was late at night and we had bought a bag of Cheerios for breakfast.... but Pon has supplied a bowl of fresh fruit, long life milk, tea and coffee-which was so very thoughtful. The villa is down a windy/bumpy track-which is a little rustic-but only makes the location more special and secluded on arrival. The village is a 5 min drive away which has a couple of mini markets and two restaurants. One restaurants backs onto a park-so is ideal to relax whilst the kids play and you can watch them. Our favourite beach was Kalyves-at the far right side was a perfect location for kids as road was far away. The beach bars and tavernas are all along the beach. The water is clear and warm! We loved Almyrida beach too-far left of beach was a “baby pool” which was a shallow rock pool that the kids played in for hours-safe and sound! We loved our holiday and would highly recommend to families or to a few couples for an adult get away! Thank you to Pon-who went above and beyond!

Fantastiskt ställe!

Hade en jättebra semester i denna villa. Lugnt och tyst ställe, precis det vi ville ha på vår semester! Helt fantastik utsikt både mot havet och mot bergen! Rent i huset och lätt incheckning. Körde dit enligt GPS, så kan inte säga hur lätt väganvisningen är. Pon, ägaren, svarade snabbt på våra meddelanden och kom till villan med mera poolleksaker och frukt till barnen vilket uppskattades mycket. Sista vägen upp till villan hade vi inte några problem att varken köra på eller promenera ner till byn. Barnen i åldrarna 5 och 7 hade inte heller problem att promenera till byn i bara sandaler. Poolen är stor och där spenderad vi flera timmar varje dag. Vi lagade den mesta maten själva i villan på grund av allergier så kan inte säga något om restaurangerna i byn. Finns två små butiker där man kan handla det mesta dock ganska dyrt, men vi körde till Lidl för att storhandla och få ett bättre utbud. Kan varmt rekommendera denna villa och Pon som ägare. Tack!

Captivating Crete

We had a wonderful holiday in a beautiful villa, pretty gardens, amazing views of sea and mountains. The villa was clean and comfortable. The pool was immaculate and we enjoyed using the bbq. Hired a car, but didn’t really use it during the week as it took us 20 mins to walk to the village where there were 2 well stocked shops, helpful local people, and a choice of 3 restaurants. We had a minor issue with electricity in one bedroom, but this was fixed by our host straight away. The villa had lots of information about places to visit, but our surroundings were so beautiful, we didn’t feel the need to travel! We particularly enjoyed the evening and morning goat bells! Definitely somewhere we would recommend, and very much hope to go again.

The outside space of the villa makes it extra special as the pool is a good size and the pool area and gardens around the villa are very spacious and well kept. The bbq house is an extra bonus. A large car or 4x4 is recommended for going up and down the track to the villa as it’s a bit bumpy, but as we had a 4x4 it was fine for us. There are some lovely villages and beaches within easy driving distance and are documented in both the comments book (written by previous guests) and in the welcome pack provided. We tried out several of the recommended places and loved them all. Octopus bay was stunningly beautiful and the open air/ top restaurants in Almyrida overlooking the sea were our favourites. Pon the owner of the villa was easily accessible for any questions and provided excellent instructions for both getting to the villa and suggestions on a good local car hire company which we used. Overall we would highly recommend this beautiful villa for anyone looking for peace, quiet and tranquility. 10/10!!

Stunning location for a perfect family holiday

This villa is in a beautiful remote location with sea views and surrounded by mountains. It is very peaceful and the close neighbouring property is empty and the other neighbour is not too close. The pool is perfect with lots of toys for children and adults alike. There is lots of outdoor space to enjoy and provide shade. It is well landscaped and has a great bbq house. The villa has everything you need and is well equipped. It is acceptably clean, however would benefit from a thorough once over. There were some batteries missing from the aircon controls and bulbs missing from bedside lamps. An outside storage facility for bin bags would be useful, so the full bags weren't hanging around until the next trip to the communal village rubbish bins. We walked daily to Kefalas along the dirt track, bumpy in the car but we managed fine with our pushchair. 2 well-supplied shops; 2 friendly restaurants and 2 little parks perfect for the kids. The nearest beaches are a 10/15 minute drive, Almyrida is particularly pretty with a narrow sandy beach and shallow waters. The owner went above and beyond for us and this was really appreciated. A great value holiday, we would definitely return if we came back to Crete.

Opnieuw teruggekeerd, met andere familie. En opnieuw een overweldigende indruk van stilte en natuur. De hogere ligging zorgt voor verfrissende wind op warme dagen. En een nieuwe ervaring: cruisen op de zee met een kleine boot van Manolis uit Kefalas. Local leven, met zon, zee en bergen: niet te missen in deze leuke villa met mooi onderhouden zwembad. Our stay at this stunning villa.

The villa was magnificent and views were were breath-taking, especially in the evening.The swimming pool was very fun, we enjoyed it. The entire village was welcoming, the food was delicious and there were loads of things to see and do. It was a ten minute drive to Octopus bay, where you can see the coastal line of Crete. It was great holiday and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you for letting us stay at this villa!

Wunderschöne authentische Villa mit traumhaften Meerblick

Wir verbrachten eine wunderschöne entspannte Woche mit der Familie in der Villa in Kefalas. Das Haus ist geräumig und gemütlich eingerichtet, ebenso der Garten. Man hat einen atemberaubenden Blick auf das Meer und angrenzende Buchten und hat es mit dem Auto nicht weit zum Strand, in andere nette Städte oder zum Flughafen. Auch zu empfehlen war die Anreise im Frühling, da alles noch schön grün war und geblüht hat, wobei die Temperaturen noch recht angenehm waren. Des Weiteren muss ich nochmal ein großes Dankeschön an den Vermiter P. Logan aussprechen, der uns bei Fragen oder Problemen immer zur Seite gestanden ist! Sogar als einer unserer Mitreisenden seinen Schlüssel nach Abreise in der Villa vergessen hatte, wurde sich sofort darum gekümmert! Zusammengefasst war es durch und durch ein sehr schöner Urlaub, wobei die Unterkunft hierbei eine großes Stück beigetragen hat. Wir würden nächstes Frühjahr gerne wieder kommen!

Es hat alles perfekt gepasst. Natürlich gibt es an so einem Grundstück immer Kleinigkeiten zu regeln. Von und seinen Handwerker haben sich tadellos darum gekümmert.
