Photos don’t do it justice.From the listing, it looks like a cozy cottage with its own garden, but in reality it’s more like a barn situated on the property of a roadside motel, right behind a grocery store and next to a busy road. It felt nothing like the peaceful retreat we were expecting. We didn’t end up staying because the place didn’t feel safe or private enough for us.Also, even though the listing says it’s pet-friendly, there’s an additional fee unless your dog is a service animal, this wasn’t clearly stated in advance. I would’ve never booked this place if the listing had included honest exterior photos.When we messaged the host about our concerns, the response was delayed and they didn’t seem eager to find a solution. This was a 600 stay for just two nights, not a small amount. I travel often, every 2–3 months, and have stayed in many properties, but I’ve never had an experience quite like this one.
