We booked our room in mid-October. The first five days were fine, but on the last day, we were suddenly told we had to vacate our room immediately due to a “broken window.” We had stayed in this room all week, and the window had been perfectly fine the entire time. While we were on a mountain tour, we started receiving strange calls from the hotel. Eventually, the administrator-cashier contacted us there and insisted we vacate the room immediately because “workers were coming to fix the window.” This was extremely inconvenient and stressful. We were scheduled to check out the next evening, our belongings and gifts were spread across the room, and instead of resting after a long day, we had to pack and move everything in a rush, which took over two hours. The new room, which was promised to be “of the same quality,” was far worse. The shower drain was completely clogged — we had to shower standing in dirty water with other people’s hair. Unfortunately, the behavior of the administrator-cashier was completely unprofessional and indifferent, ruining the end of our stay. It was clear that she didn’t care that her actions could negatively affect the hotel’s rating. A professional who respects their guests would never force people to move rooms on their last night before a long international flight. It is completely unclear why the “broken” window,couldn’t have been repaired after our departure. We cant recommend this hotel to anyone due to such poor management

I choose superior room. It was small , I think 200 sqft. Washroom was also very small. Don't go by hotel pictures. Small AC in the room. Breakfast was good but they repeat same everyday. Single lift for entire hotel. one day it was not working. For them it took 1 and a half day to get it functional again. Reception was supportive, they extended check out time by 2 hrs.

Overall poor. Cleanness is not well, old towels were still on the ground, didn’t clean cups. Breakfast was below average. I wouldn’t suggest you to stay, look for other options.

The room was on the smaller side and came with the balcony. The stay was so pleasant and the breakfast buffet was small but nice. We enjoyed sitting in the summer terrace too.

Nice touch

Arrived early after overnight flight. Hotel agreed to check us in 6 hours early & charged half room rate but that included breakfast which was fair enough. Location is tricky to determine in Almaty as it's so sprawling but we walk everywhere so that was OK. Taxis and public transport were so easy and inexpensive that Iocation was not a problem. Although hotel may be described as a bit dated by western standards, staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean and the room comfortable. Breakfast was OK. One nice touch was that it happended to be my birthday when I was there and the hotel obviously picked that up from my passport as upon our return one day, a bottle of fizz and some cholocate had been left.

Quiet area

Good option in safe, well-lit area. Most staff spoke English. Restaurant had a wide selection of food. Curtains were thin so I had to use my sleeping mask. Only one bottle of water provided had me running to the nearby market.

cheaply run good hotel

This 6 floor hotel only has ONE iron. So much for four stars. I had a suitcase full needing ironing so I asked to take the iron to my room. I was rudely awoken at 6h30 am (despite no disturb sign) being asked for the iron. After I put it outside, I was still awoken two more times (on the phone and knocking). When I complained to manager, he was rude and said it was my fault for wanting iron in my room ( again, four star hotel). I've travelled in KAZ (cheap and less cheap hotels) and never had issues with irons or being unreasonably awoken. Other than that, condition was good, confortable and reasonably clean (other than used sleepers we found under the bed)
