При вселении паренек на рецепшене расстроенно протянул "Ооо,у вас уже за все заплачено, да?" Учитывая, что он держал в руках распечатку брони со всеми данными, я вопрос проигнорировал. Но паренек не унимался "Оплачено, да?". Предположив, что паренек не умеет читать, я ответил "Да, оплачено". Но это бы не конец: сотрудник гостиницы вдруг шепотом и с бегающими глазками забормотал: "Знаете, у нас в номере стоит мни-бар, он не входит в стоимость. Вам надо оставить депозит, хотя бы 5 тысяч тенге". Я немножко офигел от такой разводки. Вежливо сказал, что мини-баром пользоваться не обираюсь и никаких депозитов вносить не буду. Парнек погрустнел и наконец-то отстал от меня. Поднялись в номер 601. Напольное ковровое покрытие вытерто почти до дыр. Матрас на кровати продавлен. Простыни древние. В первую ночь спали под какой-то жуткий гул. Я думал, что на крыше прям над нашим номером стоит емкость с водой, и она гудит. Уже хотел утром идти и требовать переселения. И что вы думаете? Прислушался и понял, что гул идет от того самого мини-бара. это холодильник полметра высотой, но гудит как атомная бомба.Отключил его и две другие ночи спал в тишине. Кстати, заглянул в мини-бар: пара сникерсов, пара банок местного поганого пива, пара бутылок воды. Все вместе не потянет и на 1000, не говоря уж про 5000. При выселении на рецепшене стоял все тот же паренек. Все так же озабоченный мини-баром: "Вы пользовались"? - "Нет". И дальше шла проверка, минут 10 или 15 - не отхлебнул ли я там пива) Жесть.

별로 추천하고 싶지 않은 호텔입니다

피트니스가 있다고 해서 골랐는데 지하 골방같은 조그만 방에 기구도 없는데다 운동할 분위기가 아닙니다. 아침 조식도 별로이고 개인적으로 추천하고 싶은 호텔이 아니네요

Much below to be even average

when you choose to stay budget hotel you have a low expectation but this hotel is even below the lowest expectations. Firstly I was given terrible room. The towels seemed like used and not changed, bed sheets smells cigarettes, those two was enough reason to make me uncomfortable I didn't mention about the condition of the room or elevator, but the things that really matter for personal hygiene are essential for me and this hotel failed me there so when I check-in, I was too tired to change my room and slept that night decide to do next day but next day when I tried to take shower, I got another surprised, water was streaming very low and it was either cold or hot anyway after thirty or forty minutes of freezing and burning, I went and change my room to new one which was acceptable drinking water is not complimentary

Nice hotel with good facilities and friendly staff

Golden Palace Hotel is a a great hotel with friendly staff. Shops and restaurants (such as Zheruyik and Hard Rock Café) are within easy reach. Subway stations (Baikonur and Almaly) are within walking distance.

Das Hotel ist wirklich sehr gut ausgestattet.

Es war eine große Überraschung ein so gut ausgestattetes Hotel vorzufinden, nachdem die Bilder im Internet nicht so gut waren. Die Angestellten waren sehr höflich, zuvorkommend und haben schnell jeden Wunsch (Reservierung von Unternehmungen oder eine Extradecke etc.) erfüllt. Das gebuchte Frühstück war sehr gut. Jeden Tag wurde das Zimmer gereinigt, sowie die Minibar gefüllt. Das W-Lan war ist lief einwandfrei, bis auf einen stürmischen Abend. Und auch der Lärm der Straße konnte durch die gut isolierten Fenster abgeschirmt werden. Auch die Klimaanlage hat perfekt funktioniert. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

It has been a very pleasant experience staying at Golden Palace Hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is good. The dinner is decent. The staff are courteous and very helpful. It is very good hotel for a very reasonable price.

Nice hotel close to centre

The hotel is close to main roads and therefore transport. You need to buy a transport card for their buses/train (not available in the hotel) but you can put money on your card using their machine in the foyer. This was really helpful. The staff try their best to help if you need anything. Not all the staff speak English, but I speak a little Russian, so that was okay for me. The breakfast was great value, but it's not worth eating in the hotel for lunch/dinner. There are good restaurants at good prices all around the hotel. I would definitely book this hotel again.

My unique taxi experience

The hotel is ok for the offered price, but next time I will look for something else. Was really disappointed and angry with the hotel taxi service. It's very expensive, but they put you in taxi with other people (!!!) without even reducing the price. Ridiculous! I travel for business every month for many years, but never had an experience like that before.

Below standards hotel, cheap and quiet area.

This is a low standard hotel in a residential neighborhood. No walking anywhere to any good restaurants or shopping. Needed to cab everywhere, very cheap though and easy to get a taxi. Very little English is spoken, wish I knew Russian, would have helped a lot!

Good stay for a good price

The hotel staff were very friendly. Almaty is spread out so walking from the local metro station to the hotel takes around 25 minutes, but it's an easy walk and finding the hotel is straightforward. The place was clean and safe and close to a couple of shops and restaurants. Considering the costs of hotels in Almaty, the Golden Palace provides a good stay for a good price.

Pros: Good location with nearby stores and restaurant. Staff are helpful and would look up information if they didn't know the answer to my inquiry. This is greatly appreciated. Cons: AC was kind of working but extremely weak. I wished the cleaning personnel would refill toiletries but not a big deal as you can just ask for it and they are nice about it.
