This is a superb, fully air-conditioned, spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in the St James complex in Praia da Luz. The huge balcony can be accessed from both bedrooms & lounge via patio doors, allowing all guests to enjoy the delights of Algarve outdoor living. The St James complex provides a children's play area and both adults' & children's pools all set in landscaped gardens. Alternatively, if you are feeling a little more energetic, you could stroll down to the blue-flag beach or visit the many varied shops and wonderful restaurants and bars that the charming village of Luz has to offer. For golfers, there are 4 golf courses between a 5 and 20 minute drive of the apartment and the beaches of the western Algarve are famous for both surfing and fishing.


Praia da Luz Beach: A short 10min walk from the apartment brings you to the gently shelving Luz beach, with soft golden sands. The remnants of volcanic activity from long ago can been seen at the far end of the beach, know locally as the Rocha Negra or 'Black Rock'.
Rock pools and a beach-front restaurant, complete with children’s play area make the beach a great place for all the family!

Activities / Things to do: From Luz, there are day trip coaches to the water parks (Aqualand is one) and the Dolphin park (Zoomarine), and many other attractions in the Algarve.
Surfing, sailing, fishing and scuba-diving trips can be booked for departure from Luz or nearby Lagos.

Travel Arrangements: The apartment is c.80km/50miles from Faro airport and travel time should take about 50min-1hour. Full directions can be found on our website. You don't need a car to get to or travel around Luz as bus and taxi services operate to and from Luz and Faro airport. Car hire is available in the town for those who wish to explore the Algarve.

A perfect apartment in Luz!

We are a family of 5 and the apartment was absolutely prefect for us. It is completely supplied with everything you need for a holiday and the morning coffee on the deck was a my favourite part :) It is a very short walk to the beach and dinner options and the pool was a huge hit for our kids. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Property was ideal for our needs and it was exactly as described. Management team were incredibly helpful and very quick to resolve any issues. An amazing stay

This is our 5th stay in Praia da Luz. The apartment was fantastic, the balcony is huge and gets the sun all day, the pool is really good. The apartment has everything you need and more. Great apartment with huge terrace in lovely village

We spent three weeks in the apartment and everything we needed was provided. There was ample parking just outside the apartment. Lisete was a good cleaner and came in each week to change the bedding and towels and do a basic clean for us. Unfortunately the pool was out of action at the time of our visit, but we are sure that when all the retiling is done it will be an excellent addition for any holidaymaker. We ate out a few times, at the Chinese on Rua April 25 , just below Paulo's which we went to four or five times and found the food delicious, and the staff extremely friendly. We also had fish and chips one night at Kelly's Irish Bar and enjoyed that. All in all, a lovely place to spend a holiday. If you want to go to the beach, Luz beach is long, wide and sandy.

Great stay very spacious unit overseeing two large pools. Well stocked utensils. Clean bathrooms and each bedroom with own bathrooms. Owner very communicative when needed. Check Our firms is strict 10 am. Understandable as check in time is 2 pm. Very close to beach and restaurants. No cat needed. We had a car and parking only 10 steps away. Washer and dishwasher in kitchen. Tower warmers and black out curtains help. We will return.

Excellent apartment which is set in a great complex

We have just returned from a great holiday. staying this fantastic apartment. The apartment was spacious, clean and really well equiped. The balcony, as shown in the photograps, is really large and overlooks the pool area. The only very slight downside is that we would have liked to access some English channels on the TV, but non were available. This was not totally clear at the time of booking. However, this did not detract from our holiday stay. We will certainly look forward to further holidays in this great apartment and complex in the future. Thanks Ian.

We have stayed at St James properties a couple of times and this apartment was lovely. Spacious, inside and out with a Lon epic balcony! Everything that you need in the apartment and the pools ideal especially for our 6 and 4 yr old. Short walk to the beach and restaurants. I’m sure we will be back!

Great winter sun trap! Appartement bien orienté pour le soleil d’hiver!

A warm and sunny stay. The heating was rarely used as the living area and 2 bedrooms got the sun most of the day. The big terrace too even if it was windy was very sheltered. A bonus for a winter rental. Good communication with the owner and the agency that looks after the day to day issues and servicing. Don’t expect to learn much Portuguese. Thank you. We are returning. Séjour très ensoleillé. Nous n’avions peu utilisé le chauffage puis le séjour et les deux chambres étaient baignés par le soleil. La grande terrasse même par temps de vent était bien protégée. Un bonus l’hiver. La communication avec le propriétaire et l’agence qui s’occupe du quotidien sur place était très bonne. Par contre ne comptez pas apprendre beaucoup le portugais. Nous allons revenir. Merci beaucoup!
