How many motels know you by name? The couple who own and operate the motel are amazingly warm and hospitable. By the second day, they greeted us by name. My wife got a hug when we left. They were so eager to assist us we almost felt guilty to ask anything. They were excellent guides to things to see, places to eat, etc.
The motel is older, maybe 50's? The rooms are smallish, The owners are clearly putting money into rehabbing it bit by bit. But the place was spotless, the mattress top quality, and all the amenities were there - fridge, microwave, soaps/shampoo, table and chairs, wifi.
It's not a large place, so I'm guessing if you want to stay there, make your reservation early.
For us, this was such a pleasant stay that it is hard to imagine staying anywhere else.
