For a lot of us, it’s been a while since we’ve taken a major trip. While Covid has made travel a little trickier this past year and a half, the upside is that you might find yourself with a built up travel budget. If so, why not splurge on a fancy trip and treat yourself? We’ve rounded up 8 sweet hotels with private plunge pools so you can safely social distance while still indulging in a much needed vacay!

Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas

Perfect weather, cold margaritas and all the tacos you could ask for are why we love Mexico. The Four Seasons Los Cabos is a stunning resort property with a. variety of room types. Of course, we recommend booking one of the rooms with the plugs pool, and enjoy amazing views of the beach without dealing with all the sand.

L’Horizon Resort & Spa: Palm Springs

If a passport is a problem, no worries. The L’Horizon Resort & Spa in Palm Springs, California, is a beautiful resort with some seriously laid-back luxury. Book “The Residence,” available via Orbitz, and you’ll have a generously sized plunge pool all to yourselves, right outside your bedroom. Heads up, this one is pricey with a capital P. (But hey, you deserve it!)

H2O Suites: Key West

Head to the Southernmost tip of the USA and you’ll hit Key West, Florida. There aren’t many places more chill than the Conch Republic, but that doesn’t mean you have to go easy on the accommodations. Several of the first floor suites offer private pools on the balcony. After a swim, you can walk to some of Ernest Hemingway’s old haunts for a daiquiri named in his honor. Note: H2O Suites is adults only.

Le Barthélemy: St. Barths

Nothing screams splurge louder than a trip to St Barths. The monied Caribbean island is a favorite spot for rich and famous celebs, and anyone who wants a dang near perfect getaway (albeit an expensive one). The Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa is on its own private beach and if you book one of the Junior Suites, you’ll also have your own private pool. Only hitch is they’re requiring a 7-night minimum stay, though let’s be honest: You won’t want to leave any sooner than that.

Nizuc Resort & Spa: Cancun

It’s Cancun, but fancy Cancun, so push the thought of spring breakers out of your mind. Just a 15-minute ride from the airport, you’ll feel worlds away from just about everything at Nizuc Resort & Spa. Set on its own private, secluded beach there are several restaurants to choose from, a beautiful spa, two pools, and of course private plunge pools in several of the room options. Bring out the big guns and book a Pirate Villa, where you’ll have not only a super spacious room with an outdoor shower, king bed, soaking tub, and dining table, but also a pavilion to relax in while your significant other is cooling off in the dipping pool. Don’t need all that space? They’ve also got Junior Suites with smaller plunge pools on the deck.

Beverly Hills Hotel: Beverly Hills

Vacation like a celebrity at this iconic LA property. Movies have been filmed here and famous folks are ever present, so you’re likely to rub elbows with the same person you’re reading about in that gossip mag. The Presidential Bungalow at The Beverly Hills Hotel has more than enough room to entertain a few guests or simply spread out and enjoy the extra space. The suite is surrounded by 12 acres of lush gardens and citrus trees, some of which you can admire while floating for hours in your stunning private pool.
