This posh hotel’s swanky gingerbread house sets the scene for a holiday season full of sweet events. This year’s calendar includes a tree-lighting ceremony, Santa’s Teddy Bear Tea, and Bubbles and Ginger—an adults-only (i.e. booze is served) gingerbread workshop that’s sure to get you into the holiday spirit.

When it comes to creating the annual life-sized lobby creation, the luxehotel’s culinary team isn’t afraid to dream big. The pastry chefs have been known to enlist the help of Atlanta bakery staffers to complete their mouthwatering masterpieces.

Southern hospitality is at its finest when this charming hotel invites amateurs from across the country to enter its Annual National Gingerbread House Competition. Hundreds of hopefuls compete to win more than $20,000 in cash and prizes, judged by a panel of pastry chefs and other creative types on overall appearance, originality/creativity, difficulty, precision and consistency of theme. Grab a pint of Ol’ Snap beer (or hot chocolate, if you prefer) and check out the candy creations.
