+: The room is quite spacious and the bathroom was very clean. The windows are big so providing good ventilation but the mobile aircon in our room didn't really work. The breakfast offered sufficient variety. Staffers were young but courteous and helpful. Easily accessible from the city centre/ main train station by tram stopping at the front. Quiet and safe neighbourhood. -: The aircon wasn't working. The front door was locked after a certain time and there was no staffers to assist immediately. The blue sofa was very narrow. The breakfast bistro was rather small with very cramped tables. Definitely not an easy walk from the main train station though it might appear to be a nice stroll along the river on the map. There are upward slopes and lots of staircase. Take the tram if you carry luggage.
We stayed here for 2 nights, one of them New Years Eve, and the receptionist was very kind and helpful! It was in a pretty good location - from the train station you take the # 7 tram (which is just a 2 min walk outside the train station) and stay on for 4 stops to get to the hotel. It was easy to do that in reverse, and get to the main part of town and the busy Bahnhofstrasse street (with all the nice stores). The bed was comfy and breakfast was very good. Lots to chose from to eat! They also had a wonderful assortment of teas at breakfast in addition to juices and coffee/espresso/cappuccino. They also offered you a mini (free) fruit smoothie with breakfast both days. There was also a complimentary rubber ducky in the shower which was a really cute touch!
We had just one night here we chose this hotel as a balance between quality and price, considering the appalling level of prices in switzerland, this hotel can be considered affordable they have a very comfortable parking in front of the hotel for just 5 CHF a day, a rate that cannot be beaten the room is "Ibis hotel" style, maybe a bit better, comfortable, no frills breakfast is very satisfactory, the breakfast room is elegant and comfortable all the setting is modern bathroom not tiny, just right overall a good choice
The hotel was a very good price/value combination. Good location, close to the center, parking possibility in front of the hotel, clean, friendly staff and the breakfast was excellent! Everything very fresh, delicious and a wide variety of selection. Good wi-fi.
We were group of 48 Indian origin , though they initially had some what of difficulty in understanding our need but subsequently they met with our expectations, rooms offered to us without AC and window style is very different as that of Indian houes and infrastructure
It is my first time to visit Zurich. The hotel is recommended by my colleague. It has a good breakfast and large bed. The wifi quality is quite good and the hotel allows 3 devices to be connected by one password. The number 7 tram will take you to the hotel from railway station to Sorell.
The hotel is in a very good location in Zurich. Tram stops almost at the door, station 5 minutes away and close to main shopping precinct. Staff couldnt be more helpful and polite, rooms are clean, big, and all you need. Breakfast is wonderful.
Our 25 kg capacity luggage bag handle broke and hotel reception saved the situation by lending us a toolbox full of tools and screws and bits and pieces that enabled us to fix the problem without costing us a cent. Hotel staff were very helpful and efficient. Service and facilities were of a high standard. Hotel location is excellent and short stroll to the main train station.
Very good location in a quiet street close to the tram stop. The room is very confortable and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpfull. It is just a short walk, around 10 minutes, to the city center, train station, shoppings, museums and touristic attractions.
Small hotel in a local chain but very personal. Great cooked breakfast with homemade jams and breads. Rooms are spacious as are bathrooms and clean. Very close to centre of town- 10 mins walk or 4 tram stops to main train station! Trams go all night past hotel but I didn't find them disturbing- get a number 7 or 15 from Central if you can't do the walk. In fact trams rule in Zurich and you can get just about anywhere on them. Reception has day passes for trams as well as the Zurich card which is worthwhile for free/ discounted entry into museums etc. it also covers you on local trains and the lake ferries. The only downer is the air cons which are the portable variety and quite loud and not very cold. Luckily, in September, we could do without it. A large window lets in plenty of fresh air.
