Staff was more than helpful, amenities were all good, restaurants, bar, pool, gym, starbucks. Large groups for different events were all staying at same time and there was plenty of room and really no waiting for anything. Rooms were decent could use a little updating and dusting, linens were all clean and stocked. The parking can be tight after 4pm there is available parking across the street if your out late, overall I would rate it 10 /10

This hotel opened its restaurant at 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, for breakfast for guests who were booked for a train excursion that boarded at 7 a.m. What excellent service. We talked to other people who had stayed at other local hotels and were told that some hotels did not alter their hours to accommodate this important event (the train ride to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States). Kudos to the Doubletree in Newark, Ohio.
