Good points staff very friendly. Good hygiene. Food lovely. Great location and local buses take u to the beaches. Bad points drainage systems on 2nd floor not good. Was told we cudnt use the bath as floods the bathroom when plug was released. Shower head was only positioned 3 foot from bath so u have to stand and hold the shower head over urself. Beds are rather hard and every time u turn over u wake up.we have a superior room nothing superior about it apart from see view balcony.
Very good hotel, the reception was very friendly, tasty breakfast and they helped me with tours. The only problem, in our case, is the room near from restaurant (when they were cleaning the estaurant, it was difficult to go to room), many stairs to go to room and people in another room / hall were talking loud before 8 a.m. But I recommend, only reserve a room from 2nd floor to up.
Room with a sea view is a must! Very friendly, helpful staff and overall cleanliness quite good. Beds are certainly 'firm' and spoilt the room comfort. Breakfast, adequate but 'warm' plates (and bacon/eggs) would positively be an improvement. Would recommend and make a return stay. (May 17)
...and relax. We came to Zakynthos Town to see Agios Dionysius Church. Actually, got to see the Saint himself as prayers were being read by the priests over his remains. They open the sarcophagus to do that. This may well happen every day but we felt lucky to see this. Anyway, a stroll along the busy harbour followed. Pass the statue of Confucius (why?) we spotted the rooftop terrace of this hotel. We checked at reception and they were more than happy to let us use it. An amazing view of the town, comfortable seating, use of the pool, if you wish, and a couple of reasonably priced cocktails later we were truly in holiday mode. The staff were friendly and it was lovely and clean. My wife's guideline for any review. Highly recommended way to spend an hour or more. Please go.
A wee visit from Argassi to Zakynthos to see the Port and Cultural Buildings took us to this restaurant/bar/hotel. We walked from the start of town along the shore side admiring the views and taking photos and then crossed over and walked back. In the heat we needed a little shade and some refreshments. We only thought we would have a drink but after seeing the menu we saw something that looked amazing value for money and when it arrived it was.The service was relaxed, no rush but we didnt mind as we were on holiday and we sat outside watching the world going by. This is a great place to relax your weary legs, drink a cold beer and people watch. Different styles and mix of cars, people on holiday, people working and some really interesting old motorbikes. Toilets were clean and fresh. You can have shade or sun for sitting out. You can sit indoors too. You don't seem to have to be staying at the hotel either. The photos say it all.... so all of those who find themselves in Zante and in need of something to eat and drink..TRY THE STRADA....ITS NOT BADDA...!!
We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years and decided to return for several nights last September at the start of a holiday during which we were travelling between Zakynthos and the mainland. It was even better than we remembered. We had a sea facing superior for the first three nights then went off travelling. We returned several times during the following two weeks and stayed in a variety of rooms depending on what they had available. All were very clean and comfortable though not all had balconies or views. At the end of the day you get what you pay for. The cheaper rooms are as good as the more expensive but you have to sacrifice the view and or balcony. The young women on reception are the jewels in the hotels crown. They go out of their way to help and are cheery and friendly as you pass by reception.. Breakfast is pretty good here even though it can get crowded. The breakfast staff work hard at keeping the buffet well stocked. The view from the roof terrace is spectacular and a great place to spend a few hours with a drink. They also serve food up there. The hotel is in a perfect position for exploring the town with its normal Greek life comfortably sitting alongside tourism and would always be our first choice when on Zakynthos. .
We stayed for a day at this nicely placed hotel over the road of the port.we fully recommend it as it is very closed to the square of the city,to restaurants, museums and shops of all kind.Even though we booked the standard room we had a sea side view to the sea,the room was impeccable clean, with a large mirror, spatious enough, with a wide screen TV,a small balcony and good mattress to sleep on.The only minuses were the small bathroom and the light in the corridor that was touched by the closet door. The buffet at the breakfast was very tasty with fine quality products, the staff was calm and very discreet. As for the reception staff very helpful, kind ,quick service. The only disadvantage of the hotel was the parking which was,not private but at the public road, even so we will come back for sure
Top location, nice rooms, friendly people, good breakfast and other meals. Highly recommended. We spend Greek Easter with friends and made the experience memorable. It is located next to the main piazza of the island and also with excellent view to the sea.
I spent the Easter of 2017 in Zakynthos and chose to stay at the Strada Marina, due to its prime location and easy access to all the Easter festivities. The Hotel was recently refurbished, with a spacious room, and great facilities. The service was impeccable, at all times of the days (given that during the Easter celebrations there are 24hrs activities around the area) and the people very amiable and effective. The breakfast buffet was luxurious and ample, and the lunch and dinner experiences were great given the speed of the service and the variety of choice. During the Easter day celebration they had live music with folk songs and almost everyone ended up dancing in front of the music team. The extra bonus was the terrace giving a breathtaking view of the entire port, where we could see the fireworks, and enjoy the view or a quick jump in the swimming pool. All in all an unforgettable experience I plan to repeat very soon.
Spent a week staying here and loved it.mspacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable room. Lovely staff especially the two gentleman on reception who were friendly, helpful and very pleasant. Really central location, would not hesitate to stay there again
