Clean rooms, quiet place, good food, nice and helpful people. You need a car to see the island. The resort is close to the middle of Zakynthos. I stayed only one week. I hope to return sometimes. The wi-fi signal could be improved.
We were impressed to see that they changed sheets and towels every day. The pool is lovely and the staff is very professional. It was more like a 4* hotel rather than 2*. The breakfast was amazing and the staff very nice. The bad: room is pretty small. Bathtub is very very small. I think the best rooms are at ground floor facing the swimming pool. Overall, great place to stay, but you need a car if you're going to stay here.
We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights during August.First of all the reservation of the rooms was not as we've arranged. The rooms were also very small and not clean enough...The wi FI connection was unstable and not possible to have it available in the rooms, only around the pool area. The breakfast was poor and we didn't have the option to have dinner at the hotel unless we had made a deal in advance.THe location of the hotel was in the middle of nowhere .The last day we didn't even have clean towels for the shower. I wouldn't recommend it if you want to have all the comfort in the hotel.
This is a great complex for a value holiday, particularly for those with children. All rooms look over the pool which was a central feature of the resort. A shop is short walk along the road. Being a little far out we found a rental car an absolute necessity. Our two-room villa was sparsely furnished although it did have four single beds. While the room did have a fridge it would have been nice to have been provided with a couple of drinking glasses. As others have mentioned, there didn't seem to be much in the way of environmental sustainability measures and therefore I have no idea why this property is marketed as an Eco-resort. In general though, all good. My only disappointment was the buffet dinner which had so few options that it hardly qualified as a buffet. The breakfast was good though with a wide variety of things to eat.
Pros: - Decent sized rooms - Functioning Air Con Cons: - Middle of no where location - Inedible food (breakfast eggs were powdered and the buffet dinner was the worst we've ever ahd) - Rude staff (One staff member almost forced alcohol upon us during dinner even though we told him we don't drink due to personal reasons. The same staff member scolded us as though we were children when we took the dinner receipt to the reception instead of giving it to him) - WASP NEST on the room balcony wall. Staff didn't remove it even though we complained. Not safe to sit on balcony because of this. - Wasps around the pool, swimming in the pool etc. Makes it unsafe to swim - Terrible Wifi (don't bother even trying to connect) - Extremely overpriced - They aren't an "Ecoresort". They call themselves that to justify not providing basic amenities and bad food - Hardest bed I've ever slept on. Back was sore for days after If you have a better option, take it
This hotel is very cozy and clean. It's a bit far from Zante Town, but otherwise it's a great choice. The staff is very friendy and always there to help. Also, we had dinner there a couple of times, and the food was very good. For 15 euros, you could get a buffe with lots of choices, for starters, main dish and dessert.
Amazing and relaxing holiday..the staff really nice. The hotel brautiful and thebfood really good. The position of the hotel is not close to the sea,but absolutely great for all the connection. The bastano really nice.
Nice little hotel in the green area of zakynthos not far from the very nice xingia beach! Good pool, very nice with little children, we enjoyed our short trip there. Sleep with climate because of noise from neighbours...the only minus from us are the thin walls...
PROS: The pool is pretty and the ground floor rooms open right out to a small patio surrounding the pool. The location is surrounded by beautiful mountains. The owner - Seniora Lydia is very sweet and works very hard and unaware of how poorly her staff is dealing with issues. CONS: Firstly, I will tell you that the hotel is NOT ecofriendly in any way. The pool is CHLORINATED (not enzyme powered as advertised), there are no recycling bins around the hotel, the bar uses typical take away cups, etc. The rooms are tiny, the shower cannot accomodate an average size person, the location is very isolated - you definitely need transportation to get anywhere. The movie room is out of order. You cannot get wi-fi connection in your room and when you go out to the common areas, it is painfully slow. The breakfast is typical for Greek standards, at least the yogurt, milk and salamis are kept cold on a chilled counter. If you get this hotel on sale, it's not too bad if you don't mind that it's far from beaches, shops and restaurants. HOWEVER, be prepared that if you have a problem, the front desk staff and especially the front desk manager are EXTREMELY rude and will make you feel unwelcome. You will read many positive reviews. Of course these are people who had no problems with their stay. The way they handled us was atrocious! Our a/c unit was running water in the middle of our room and it took them 3 days to bring someone to fix it and although it was fine for that day, it started running like a faucet again. They did nothing, said that they couldn't move us because they didn't have available rooms. Oh, and be prepared for the maintenance man to walk right into your room. He did this to us when we were just waking up and didn't even knock. When I got up in my t-shirt and underwear to yell at him to close the door, he just stood there telling me he had to come and check the a/c. When I mentioned it to the front desk lady, again, no apology, she justified by saying that she was sure he did it by mistake and that he doesn't usually do that. We all slipped on the pool of water in the middle of our floor and there was no concern. In fact, the front desk girl said, "We've contacted the technician, what else do you expect?" The worse part was that after living in a pool of water for the majority of the week, with the sound of a running stream of water all night from the a/c unit, they ended up charging us extra money for one of our children because we had booked a double room instead of a triple. (based on the description from expedia, we booked the appropriate room for our needs). The hotel has potential but the staff needs customer service training and the owner needs to be made aware of how they are treating their customers. The manager had many opportunities to rectify the problem with our room, to show some concern for the dangerous conditions we were living in and they chose do nothing on purpose, to punish us for not booking the appropriate room. Is this the kind of hotel you want to give your business to?
We stayed half board in August 2015 and found the staff very friendly and helpful, all areas clean and tidy and the food great. We were please to find that our 'family room' included a separate bedroom for our son. The property is located in a rural area so there isn't a lot within walking distance but many of the excursions promoted at the hotel offer a pick-up service and car hire locally is not expensive. A taxi to Zakynthos port is 15 Euros. During our stay we were the only British guests with the majority of the others being Italian and some being Greek, although the staff appeared to have English as their prime second language. We found it made it more of a relaxing holiday to mingle with the europeans than to have stayed in one of the primarily British resorts on the island. We found drinks and snacks at the bar to be both tasty and reasonably priced. Overall we were very happy with our stay.
