Great rooms, excellent facilities, 2 pools and right across the road from the beach . 14 minute walk to the old town along a promenade. Highly recommend this hotel . Restaurants and supermarkets in close proximity and plenty of parking if you have a car.
On first impressions the hotel looks really nice , rooms basic hotel room , this hotel looks like it’s built to take coach loads tourists , would not go there with a small group or couple unless it’s convenient for a one night stop , my first impression of dinning room was school canteen , not a place to linger over coffee , when full the noise level is high ,the choice of breakfast is basic , check in and out was easy even with a tour group .
Rooms are quite small. Good walk to town centre. Plumbing is getting old. Breakfast has very wide choice but served in a factory canteen. Bacon good - coffee terrible - instant powder from posh machine. 1 night was enough.
Stayed a night & there is a few group of tours. You need to plan the breakfast timing as there is too many people. Food selections is limited. In addition, need to have proper planning while checking out due to there is only one lift & the lift is small. Room comes with hot shower ( but once the whole hotel occupy the hot shower will have a problem ), shampoo provided too.
Pretty disappointed with this hotel. Not a good start at checkin with a 1.5 hour delay because their computer had crashed. Rooms are very basic and quite small - not very private either as they’re all so close together. No in room tea and coffee facilities, bottled water, tissues or iron and board. There’s an unsigned ironing room on level 1 but try finding it!!! Digital tv reception was horrendous and tv was basically unwatchable. Bed was 2 singles joined together (typical in Europe). Restaurant food was pretty ordinary - food not fresh. Hotel grounds are run down, like a lot of Zadar. Not sure who designed the ten steps on each floor that you have to drag your luggage up AFTER you get out of the lift! Close to the water and town though.
It has a supermarket and Mcdonald nearby, 5 min walk, and about 15min walk to the old city where the sea organ and many restaurants are situated. The room is abit tiny but clean. What is most surprising is the breakfast buffet spread. The dinning area is like a big canteen but there is the proper self-service coffee machine which is better than some hotels that serve coffee in a pot. There are great variety of fruits, different types of bread, sausages, eggs. Well, while the room looks truely 4-star but the breakfast will deserve a 5-star rating.
We stayed 4 nights in the Hotel Kolovare our room rate was bed & breakfast The Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant staff where great and very friendly. The reception staff were very helpful and very welcoming especially the manageress who could not do enough for us with information etc.Our room was of a good size and has a sea view. The hotel was spotless. The hotel is very close to the beach and you can walk into Zadar old town with ease. we will be definitely be returning in the near future
A hotel of good location: close to the bus terminal, facing the beach and the old town is with walking distance. Our room was spacious with sea view and a balcony. We were disappointed that as a 4-star hotel, it did not provide slippers. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The variety and quality of food for breakfast and dinner were definitely not of a 4-star standard. The restaurant looks like a canteen. A lot to be improved on the food and beverage area!
A good choice hotel near to the city. Hotel reception was very polite and the rooms were clean and confortable. I head here after a long ride on my motorcycle and it was a good stay, room was silent with a nice balcony looking out. Restaurant was average good in the morning with different things to eat. I will for sure come back on my way home.
We stayed 3 nights in Hotel Kolovare with half-board. The hotel is very close to the beach and you can walk into Zadar old town with ease. Our room is of a good size and has a sea view. Staff at the reception are friendly and helpful. However, the restaurant staff are a different story. They gave us the impression that they don't know how to interact with customers. The first night we arrived at the restaurant we were told quite rudely that we can sit anywhere. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that language is a barrier. However, they tend to gather together and chat instead of attending to customers. You just don't feel welcomed. We have included (buffer) dinner in our booking and it turned out to be a bad decision. The first night we went down as soon as dinner started and we were pleased with the choices of food. In the 2nd night we went to see the famous Zadar sunset and thus came back about mid way. To our surprise there was a big group there. Most food were consumed and were not refilled. e.g. In a pan-fried fish dish there were only 2 fish heads left. Most dishes are gone. This continued in the 3rd night too. The restaurant just won't replenish the food. So you have the choice: either you come down ASAP to eat the so so food, or you see the famous Zadar sunset and eat fish heads. Breakfast is also poor with little variety. One morning we found 4 dishes of egg: scrabble egg, scrabble egg with ham, fried egg, boiled egg. Ok, there are other food but as a person who is not picky, I found myself stuffing my stomach just not to get hungry. Yes, they also do not replenish the food in breakfast. So if you don't come down early you will have little to choose. The hotel seems to serve many groups. If you don't want to "fight" for food, eat your dinner outside.
