Hotel by shuishe harbour

Basically paying for the good location, and the jacuzi in the toilet! Everything else was just ok, but very disappointing wifi. Lucky I had my own roaming data.

All looks, no substance

The location is just at the end of the block from the tourist information office where all the transportation is, so it's very convenient. The service is not very helpful or informative, but we didn't need much. The rooms are spacious but flashy low quality design. There was no maid service, they only provided 2 packs of liquid soap for our entire stay and never came back to remove the trash or refill anything. We had dedicated wifi for the room, while spotty in certain corners it was overall decent. Breakfast was at their larger sister hotel down the street, go earlier for more options. You'll have to complain to get them to refill the trays towards the end of the service.

Moldy smell in makeshift room

I received a substandard room, one which seemed like it was converted from a storage back room. The bathroom had a strange, empty, dirty pool in it, its wall looked like an afterthought, and the door was a frosted glass door that didn't lock. The rest of the room smelled like mold, was not clean, uncomfortable, and uninviting. After tolerating it for an hour I booked a room elsewhere.

It has a jacuzzi in the toilet!

The jacuzzi in the toilet is amazing! Just that the only thing separating the toilet and the sleeping area (bed) is a sliding glass door so I think I could smell the toilet at night. Pillow was too flat too.

Disappointment beyond belief.

I had stayed at the hotel 3 years ago. It was well-maintained and clean. Now, the room I got was dusty. The shower and room floor was dirty. The place seems like no one bothered to clean it. The mattress cover and pillow cases have a weird smell. The room was dilapidated. It was disappointing as I had a good stay previously. The only consolation was that it has a balcony with a decent view, a working bathtub and its hotel location.

Convenient location but room amenities need upkeep

Neat and cosy hotel room. But noise-proof is poor. Our bathroom did not have a soap & shampoo rack (from the wall looked like it was damaged and not replaced). Design of the shower door when opened obstructed us from getting anything from the hand basin. In the end we got to put our cleansers and shampoo in cups on the floor when showering.

Great stay

Great sized room with a huge bath! The staff were very helpful, breakfast is located at a neighbouring hotel, and is extensive. The bed is a bit hard, but this seems to be a standard of Taiwanese hotels.

Bon hôtel

Hôtel vieillissant, chambre un peu vetuste mais le confort y est. Le jaccuzi ne marche pas mais c'est normal! L'eau chaude très longue à venir et pas si chaude. Autrement ça va, bon petit déjeuner dans un hôtel voisin, chambre grande, bien situé et très propre. Le personnel n'est pas très joviale. C'est un très bon rapport qualité-prix pour Sun Moon Lake.
