Net zoals vorig jaar een heerlijk rustige vakantie. Vriendelijk en efficiënt onthaal. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. De living is heel persoonlijk en aangenaam ingericht. De elektrische fietsen die aanwezig zijn, zijn heel aangenaam om de omgeving te verkennen. Richting Heuvelland zijn er heel wat hellingen, dus dat motortje komt van pas! Elke dag gefietst, naar Kortrijk, naar Diksmuide, naar Ieper, naar Kemmel! Enkel het internet is nogal traag. TV en radio zijn OK (enkel de Wifi-repeater moet je een eindje wegzetten van de radio, of er is interferentie). Er was weer een hittegolf, en dan wordt het wel heel warm in de veranda. Gelukkig staat er een ventilator. Aanrader voor wie van rust en natuur houdt. Ik ga vast nog eens terugkomen!

Heel rustig gelegen, voldoende ruim voor 2 of max. 3 personen. Vriendelijke en efficiënte ontvangst. Mooie tuin, heel veel bloemen. Perfect om ’s avonds buiten te zitten in de schaduw. De keuken is goed uitgerust en handig ingericht. Ik kwam nergens iets tekort. Ook in de living en eetkamer veel mooie snuisterijtjes. TV met Nederlandstalige zenders, radio, Wifi, allemaal in orde. Veel documentatie over de streek. Elektrische fietsen zijn beschikbaar en die zijn een pluspunt om deze landelijke streek, met nogal wat hellinkjes, goed te kunnen verkennen. Er zijn veel begraafplaatsen en andere herinneringen aan WO I in de buurt. Aanraders in de omgeving zijn provinciaal domein Palingbeek, de stad Ieper met musea en shopping, Passendale Memorial Centre en het kasteelpark errond. Ook Kortrijk is met de fiets bereikbaar via een prachtige tocht langs de Leie. Enige nadeel met het warme zomerweer was het serre-effect van de veranda. In het tussenseizoen zal dat dan weer een voordeel zijn 😊.

Vriendelijke ontvangst. Geen klaar overzicht over de betaling van electriciteit en verwarming. Er is boven heel moeilijk te verwarmen en de kamertjes boven zijn eigenlijk niet te gebruiken. Heel claustrofobisch, ijskoud in de winter en geen comfort. Beneden mooie kamer maar de verwarming slaat verschillende keren aan 's nachts. (blijkbaar laadt die op 's nachts)

Echt alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig om er een mooie vakantie van te maken hoelang die ook mag zijn. Heel rustig gelegen enkel de buren komen soms eens over de muur of door de draad kijken maar dit zijn dan ook maar gezellige koeien, ganzen, eenden, kippen, ... Bezienswaardigheden, fietsen, wandelen kan allemaal vertrekken vanuit het huisje enkel naar de winkel is de auto wel handig. Gewoon top een aanrader.
