Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.

Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.

Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

Loved this hotel! Close to the park and lots to do inside. We stayed at the cottages. Wasn’t what we expected so next time we will stay in a room in the main area or the cabins. Other than that it was a 10/10.

I was amazed we found this place at such a reasonable price. The resort is 5 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite. It was clean and comfortable. The amenities were all working, and the service in the restaurant was good. There is also a lot of activities for kids and appears to be family friendly. Only downside is there wasn't enough parking so we ended up having to park on the opposite side of the resort to get to our room.

The lodge is only a few minutes away from Yosemite entrance which made getting in the park before it gets to crowded very easy. We loved spending an afternoon after hiking at the pool at splash pad. Our 3 year old loved the smores bar!
