El apartamento está a la vuelta de la esquina del Monk Bar del siglo XIV, el más alto y elaborado de los 4 bares de las murallas de la ciudad. El edificio catalogado de Grado 2 era anteriormente el cuarto de enfermeras del antiguo hospital de la ciudad y el apartamento del primer piso está recién amueblado y es nuevo en el mercado de alquiler de vacaciones. El apartamento está en la parte trasera de la propiedad y comparte un hall de entrada comunitario y jardines. The Groves

This property was well located and an easy walk to the city center. It is cleaned and maintained but needs an upgrade. Bed pillows were hard and very flat, the mattress was thin and placed only on a frame. Bedroom curtains were thin and did not offer any room darkening so early morning light woke me very early each morning. Noise from upstairs neighbor was also bothersome for sleep. Inexpensive upgrades could offer much in the way to added comfort for guests.

Central location in a Grade 2 building

Spent 4 nights in York. Wanted to be near the Minster but not stay in a hotel as we don’t enjoy eating out all the time. Also, as we’d been in Europe for 3 weeks we wanted the availability of laundry facilities.

Very good location for visiting York. Only 5 min walk from the centre. Next to a Sainsbury, so daily shopping is also easy. The appartment is spacious and comfortable. Good parking place for the car too.

The apartment is a spacious, comfortable one bedroom. The location is perfect for exploring York. There is a full size grocery store about a2 minute walk. We would love to stay here again.

Great location to explore York; so close to the wall, shopping, and food.

Great location for walking, but driving a car onto the one-way street was a little challenging. Some additional instructions when approaching from the north would be appreciated. (Google maps was not quite enough.) The floor plan was great for our purposes. We loved the supermarket so close by. It would have nice been to have a mirror close to an outlet, so we could use a hairdryer. Otherwise, a great place.

Excellent accommodation just outside city walls of York

We had a very enjoyable few days in this delightful apartment in York. It was roomy, clean, cosy, comfortable and very quiet. Location was excellent being just outside the city walls and only 5 minutes walk to the Minster and 15 minutes walk to the railway station. Added bonus was having a Sainsburys a short distance behind the residence but far enough away for us not to be aware of it.

Very well located cosy flat

That location of the flat couldn't be better, a short walk into the heart of the city. The added bonus of the parking space is great and a rarity in York! The flat is cosy, clean and has everything that you need. The only thing worth noting is that the flat above clearly has wooden flooring. Bev was a great host and answered all of my queries very quickly.

The flat was spectacularly clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay in York. The location was perfect as it was only a few minute walk to York Minster, Sainsbury was directly behind the building, and the walk to the train station was only 20 minutes. Bev was very accommodating and arranged to have the flat ready for our early arrival. We will definitely stay here again.

Some good and bad

Great location for a visit to York. Property was close to things we wanted to see but was still a quiet place to return to. Also very close to a local Sainsburys which was convenient. However there were a few things that were not great: 1. it was my understanding that coffee maker would be a keurig/tassimo or some comparable unit but instead was a bodum which was not ideal. 2. The internet service was not great at all which affected both tv service and browsing 3. There was an issue with the drains which meant we could not use washer or use kitchen sink very much 4. The lighting in the unit is quite poor which could be easily improved with some updated light fixtures and lamps The drain issue was obviously unforeseen but I think addressing the other concerns would be an improvement to the property

Perfect Location

We had an easy time getting to the flat. Bev was very kind and helpful. The flat was just right for two. The location with parking was unbeatable. We parked our car and didn’t need it for the whole stay. Very close to Monk’s Bar and groceries. We had a great time. Thanks Bev.

Perfect location for a city break

The flat is located less than 10 minute's walk from York Minster. It's the perfect location to step out and begin exploring the city. There's a Sainsburys local just behind the flat which is very convenient for self catering supplies. The flat itself is a great base with a decent-sized living room, bedroom kitchen and bathroom (with plenty of hot water for a bath if you've spent an especially long day walking!) The kitchen was beautifully clean and well laid out and the bed was comfy and spacious. Bev supplied easy to follow instructions for check-in and check-out. The car park space was great as I didn't need the car at all for the whole stay. The wifi was consistent (better than at home!). I would book this place again to continue exploring the city!

Anniversary stay in York

The property was a 1 bedroom apartment, galley kitchen and bathroom with bath & shower. There is also parking within the grounds. This was very well presented and very clean and comfortable. The process of obtaining the keys was smooth and the dialogue with the manager Bev was excellent and answered any questions quickly. The city centre was only minutes away by foot and there was a Sainsburys close by. Overall this apartment was excellent for us being so close to the Centre of York

The apartment was clean and comfortable, a great location for the centre/sites of York and lots to see and do. Allocated parking space, we did not need to use car during our stay as within short walking distance to centre, York minster and sights of York. We loved our stay and would definitely return. We had a really nice stay at Bev's apartment. The location was fantastic and the parking was a deal breaker. The flat was clean and tidy. We had a long drive to get to York, so it was very much appreciated that Bev had left some milk and there were teabags in the kitchen for a well awaited cup of tea! We had the best time.

Comfortable and convenient accommodation.

We found the accommodation very comfortable and so convenient for York city centre and having Sainsburys just a few steps away was an added bonus. Bev, the owner was lovely and very helpful. It was great having our own parking space even though rather challenging getting in and out of as very tight. Will stay again.
