Nostalgic Trip and Decent Place to Stay

It is an ok place and served the purpose of a place to sleep and shower. Pennys Dinner was good and we enjoyed the food. We booked a king bed but when we arrived they only had double beds. They did compensate with a free meal at Pennys dinner. It was a a nostalgic trip as we installed all the mechanical in the Dinner when it opened 25 years ago, great memories

This place is really run down. For almost $250 a night, I expect a pretty decent place, this is like a $70 per night hotel. While it is poor condition, the room was clean aside from the urine in the toilet. My mom reserved a room with a queen bed, they gave her a room with a singe twin and did not offer to drop her rate. The place was completely booked, due to a volleyball tournament in a neighboring town, so she could not get a different room. My daughter is on the volleyball team, they had booked rooms with 2 double beds. When they arrived, they were told they only had rooms with single beds. It was already late, and this is the only hotel in town, so they couldn't go somewhere else. Half of the girls had to sleep on the floor or in the chairs. Complete incompetence, and again they did not offer to reduce the rate. The positives were that it was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Next year, we will stay in Edwards and drive an hour in the morning to get to the tournament.

The staff was very helpful when asked. The amenities were few at best. The towels didn’t smell freshly cleaned like they have been sitting on a shelf for awhile but were nice and white. The shower drain needs some cosmetic repair.

The lady that checked us in was super sweet and helpful, the room was easy to get to and use - and the food at penny’s diner was DELICIOUS! They were light in a scary time! We will be back!

Reception is in a diner. Laundry room dispenser took my coins and gave no laundry detergent. Lady at reception was so sick she should not be in customer facing station, on top of it she also made food. Needless to say, we did not eat there. Room was ok.

We stopped here for one night on our way through and it was easy to check in and out, the rooms were clean and easy to sleep in. All the staff I talked with were nice and polite. The area as a whole gave very old timey vibes, the front diner was cute
