Played this course and was so pleased with the whole experience. From the minute I arrived I was treated extremely well and the Professional (Karl Kelly) went out of his way to make me feel very welcome and showed me round so I got my bearings. Excellent service on the range. Towels, water and very cheap bucket of balls (£2). The course itself is immaculate. Super buggy and a pleasure to have a caddy as well who helped me round the course with brilliant knowledge and tips. Definitely going to be a regular visitor and look forward to my next round !

Traveled for a business conference. While the view was beautiful, the rooms (both meeting and bedrooms) were incredibly hot. Air was turned off in night. Agree with other reviews on length of time waiting to get a club sandwich, 30 min. Bathroom shower had mold. The only thing positive besides the view was comfortable bed. Would not stay again.

This is a beautiful building set in a gorgeous location, overlooking the golf course. Sofitel should be ASHAMED of their terrible mismanagement of this hotel, which has created a nightmare experience. The staff took over 25 minutes to check us in, when we queried the slow progress they explained they were still learning the system. Only the 'premium' family rooms are on a non-smoking floor. The room was filthy - grease and grime in the shower, the bottom of the minibar fridge was stained orange and flaking. There were four of us at dinner. We got one appetizer, then two appetizers plus one main, then an hour later we got the rest of the mains. My boss' appetizer contained raw chicken. When he pointed this out to the server (in Chinese) she just ran away. Various staff came and demanded to view the raw chicken before finally they were convinced to take it away. When the mains arrived an hour later (a stone cold club sandwich and a few hot chips) a different server dumped down a plate with two grilled prawns on it "as an apology". This is an inadequate response to a) lack of basic food safety, and b) untrained serving staff.

Sofitel Nanjing Zhongshan Golf Resort sits on a beautiful golf course with facilities that is built 2nd to none. What is suppose to be a top notch experience had led to disappointment every year I visit. My recent stay in room 2041 and 2025 for the family happend on the Easter weekend. Despite our numerous complaints to the management that the rooms are too warm, they continue to ignore our complaints. Room temperatures reached as high as 30 Celcius. In addition, management tried to save electricity by turning off the AC from 2am ~ 6am. They nickel and dime their paying customers, and despite the hotel had been around for 8 years, their staff training is lacking terribly. The staff has no concept of customer service, whether it be in the dining facilities or the swimming pool and gym, they treat their clients as thieves rather than patrons that are suppose to be serviced. It's really a shame a hotel with top notch facilities not being able to service their clients as it is intended. Also we smelled cigarette smoke thru out the hotel despite it being a none smoking facility. I've seen a cigarette butt left in the elevator and for 4 days that cigarette butt sat in the elevator without being picked up and cleaned..... This is by far one of the worst Sofitel experience i've had

The building is beautiful, the golf course looks amazing (didn't have a chance to play), but it is all let down badly by poor service and poor food choices (and quality). Having only two basic restaurants, I chose to eat outdoors but I regretted it almost immediately...the construction noise (even at 7PM) was loud and everywhere. I ordered a soup with chicken that arrived after a long wait and the chicken was still raw...then after a much longer wait I got a club sandwich which was completely cold. Staff were indifferent or inexperienced in handling these situations. The food for the other 3 people I was with arrived at random intervals (one person got two courses at once, one person got their starter after everyone else had main courses, etc. etc.) Then the room, while OK was child themed (since I wanted non-smoking it seems that's what you get) which was unusual but the grime in the refrigerator and shower made it less pleasant. Overall nowhere near the standard I would expect from a Sofitel...definitely won't be back.

Just spent 4 days at the Nanjing Sofitel Zhongshan Golf Resort while attending a conference in Nanjing. The conference was not so good, but the Sofitel was terrific!! It is an impeccably maintained, relatively new, beautiful facility with spacious rooms, two fine restaurants, a friendly cocktail lounge, and excellent multilingual service. I did not try the golf course for lack of time, but certainly enjoyed staying at the hotel - and will definitely return the next time my travels take me to Nanjing.

I stayed here for two nights. The property is beautiful--very large, well groomed and pleasnat to view. When we arrived, even though our room was booked well in advance they had no record of the same and "had" to upgrade us to the next available rooms. The check in took almost 45 minutes. The room I was assigned was number 2040--very large with a great frontla view of the property via a balcony. Lareg washroom with tub and stand along shower stile. Lots of luggage space; closet was a bit small. The bed was comfortable. The room had a large working desk-two of the drawers had not been cleaned. My dining expereince my first night was not positive-I went to the restaurant around 9pm and many of the itmes were picked over and/or had all been eaten. The cost was 268 plus additional charges. I decided against the buffet and ordered a sandwich and fries. 15 minutes later a hostess came and said that they could not do the sandiwch as thye were out of the ingredients but they could do a different one. Having not had dinner I said okay. The smadwich arrived 15 minutes later--the fries were cold and the sandwich which was suppose to be hot was luke warm at best. I decided to work out the next morning at 6am and to be surprise found that the gym was under renovation. I had not been informed when the booking was made and as well, I was not informed upon check in. There was a letter on the desk in the room. on the positive side I did stop by the bar each night and enjoyed a refreshing drink--the prices were reasonable and the lady working the bar was pleasnat and professional. While she oculd speak some English the majority of staff had very limited English at best. The location of this hotel is for the golf course--it is more like a spa resort. Very far from the city center. I can't recommend this hotel as a top end resort/hotel that they wish to be known as. They have much work to do with providing excellent customer service.

It is not common style in Sofitel. The hotel style is resort. It is so cozy and renew hotel. Very thing is good. The spa and gym centre are perfect. But the location is a little bit far from urban area. In a word, the hotel level is match with the brand

I have stayed there 4 nights in an official tour to Nanjing. Very beautiful location and room. Hotel area is just awesome. Maximum staff speak English, I think it is great, cause in China maximum people don't speak English. Highly recommended.

English language is absent in this international hotel, considering that an international conference was being held's a very Frustrating experience and I will not consider returning. Insist on an speaker before you ask the hotel to do anything for you, otherwise it will not get done. I've had missed hotel pick ups twice, an in room dining experience that took at least 4 calls to different people in space of one hour just to order ANYTHING. Sofitel should make the additional effort to invest in English speakers in their hotels.
