We booked the hotel through Expedia using our account and the card linked to it. In addition, we gave the hotel manager a different card to pay the pet fee. Later, the manager charged the full amount for the entire stay to the same card we used for the pet fee, resulting in a double payment. He denied for as long as he could that he had charged us without reason or warning! After lengthy discussions, he finally admitted it—but still refused to refund the money. We had to go through Expedia to get our money back, and thankfully, they took care of it. But the manager is a dishonest liar—he claimed he never had our card and couldn’t have charged us for the stay, conveniently forgetting that he had already used that same card to charge the pet fee! Never hand your card over to the manager, and always check your statements during and after your stay at this hotel.
