Was only here for one night but found the stay very satisfactory on all accounts. The hotel was sold out but I didn't experience any noise issues. Front desk agent and breakfast attendant were particularly pleasant. Walking distance to a couple of restaurants. When in Woodward for business in the future I will actively choose this property.
When I checked in the staff was really nice and welcomed me. My room was clean and had a fresh smell and breakfast was fresh and hot. Everything you would expect from an IHG property. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm working in Woodward. There is a nice indoor pool and hot tub that looks very well maintained. Thanks!
As a regular fan of Holiday Inn Express, I'd say this location is not up to the standards I've come to expect. As you can see from my photos, there was a random creepy hole in the carpet next to my bed. The tile grout in the bathroom was damaged so one tile slides around under you when you least expect it. The toilet is not being properly cleaned thoroughly as there is black residue near the rim. The toilet paper location is way too far from the toilet for anyone to reach it. I could possibly look over these problems if the mattress wasn't so terrible! I swore I was sleeping on an additional set of box springs. My husband is a person who is able to sleep on the floor, and this mattress made his back hurt as well. I went to look for a brand but only found where someone seems to have removed the tag. But as you can see, this is a pretty thin mattress. I understand most hotels don't have the best mattresses, but this one has to be among the worst. This makes me sad because the staff was very friendly, which is the only reason I gave the hotel 2 stars instead of 1. We'll never stay here again.
We stopped at this hotel on our drive back from Colorado. It was conveniently located on Highway 270 near Walmart, gas stations and restaurants. It was not as modern and updated as other Holiday Inn Express locations, but it was sufficient enough for a quick overnight pit stop.
Searched for pet friendly but checked in and told no pets. This could be a problem with internet listing. In town for my father's funeral and we had to find another room. My husband and I did separate searches and both times this was listed as pet friendly.
When I travel, the first two hotels I always look for are Holiday Inn Express, or Hampton Inn. During our recent trip to Woodward, we chose HIE. And we were quite pleased. I will say...the hotel is 10 or so years old. But in the past few months, they have added another wing with about 25 new rooms. We got a room in the new section. And we were very pleased. The room was quite modern. It was very nice. We had great beds...nice furnishings...a great TV, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom was large and well equipped. And most importantly, the room was very clean. As is usual with HIE, the breakfast was great. My granddaughter loved the breakfast. Just a nice place for a very reasonable price.
We got what we expected: a clean room, a good night's sleep, and a great breakfast. Our room had some interesting modernistic furniture that we normally do not see in a HIE. We enjoyed being able to watch the first episode of the new season of "Game of Thrones" because the hotel has four HBO channels.
I had problems at another motel in town and had to move. I was glad the HIEX had availability. My room had been totally renovated. It was very modern and bright with wonderful decor and changes. Much better than most of the drab holiday inn express rooms. The last two properties I've stayed at have been going through similiar renovations. Way to go HIEX!
We booked this hotel as a good stopping point on our journey. Their welcome cookies could use an upgrade. They served packaged store bought, not freshly baked as some of their competitors do. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Their workout room was small but did have hand weight which we use so that was a plus. The breakfast area was well stocked and maintained. The decaf coffee was not hot and attendant made a fresh pot. Cinnamon rolls were great as usual.
Here is the place to stay in Woodward OK if you are passing through. Exceptional customer service from Ashley. She went beyond most hotels. For a last minute reservation for a group of 16 she had everything ready which is wonderful after a long day. The rooms were lovey and comfortable. Nice pillows and fresh cookies in lobby. The breakfast is very good and had a good variety which they kept replenishing quickly. Would differently stay again.
