Hilton Windhoek

The hotel is modern and the staff were great. This hotel is centrally located at the top end of the small business district. You can walk to most places. There is a fresh vibe and energy. The standard room is fairly large with excellent space. The rooftop deck/sky bar/pool is fantastic. My only frustration was housekeeping. Things were perpetually skipped, however it wouldn't influence my decision on coming back at all. I got stuck in the lift before a big meeting and must say that the staff handled it professional. A good stay at a great hotel.

The location of the Hilton Windhoek is great. The staff at the reception and the door man are very friendly and helpful, however the daily room cleaning in the morning was too slow and took until the afternoon, even after having complained twice. The snack at the roof top bar was nice and of good quality. The shower in the bathroom should really have a door in front of the shower. Even after showering very careful, the floor is wet, very slippery and therefore really dangerous, since the door to the shower is missing.

This is a very modern hotel located near the city center. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The bath was very modern and provided both a bath tub and shower. The sink was very shallow, so washing any clothes in it would be hard. The exec lounge offered a nice breakfast, which included a few hot options (contrary to what a prior review noted). The lounge manager even ordered an omelet for me one morning! Dinner time in the lounge offered a few hot entrees plus desserts, wine, beer, and spirits, all complimentary. We tried room service for lunch and were pleased. Housekeeping did not do a great job; they failed to honor a couple of simple requests, twice. Otherwise out stay was very pleasant.

The hotel and rooms are clean and equipped - yet - Hilton. Comfortable bedding and large comfortable beds. The staff was very unkind. Was not attentive to our requests to adapt the rooms to families. The showers are open to rooms without doors. A fact that becomes problematic when staying with teenagers.

I just enjoy going back to Hilton everytime I am in Windhoek. Service is good, it has a calm atmosphere and food is awsome. The cost of stay paid by the counter was better than packages offered online. Keep it up Hilton!

I stayed here for two nights prior to going on safari. The hotel is in an excellent location to explore Windhoek been right in the center of the city and within walking distance of the major attractions. The view from the rooftop bar and swimming pool are stunning and highly recommended for sundowners. The executive lounge is great with a great choice of snacks and drinks. I would definitely try and stay here again if I am back in town.

Nice facility but we spot a training or service quality shortfall. For this Rated hotel one expect; 1. Aprons and slip-on as well as wash cloth. We travelled light to join a camping group. Thought 2 nights in Hilton will make up for the camping adventure that lies ahead! 2. Attention to detail such as the toilet paper. It seems a used roll was provided, just a simple fold will tell you its been attended to. 3. Soap or shower cleaner blue... on the shower head give impression the cleaner did not get to the obvious spots... so what then about the not so obvious dirt. 4. Toilet door does not close properly and about one cm of space between entrance door to floor. This clearly leaves a sounds problem into and from the room...privacy? 5. Hanging space for wet towels...we want to save water so would like to dry towels for re-use...need a towel rail. 6. No welcoming drink, sweet on pillow, flower, fruit or ice + water carafe in fridge...Namibia can be extremely hot. Any or all of the above can be achieved with just a bit of initiative...and TLC. Thank you

It is important to note that I am ranking all the hotels we stayed at (7) based upon where these hotels are (e.g., Ranking them on Southern African standards not European or a 4 star hotel in Southern Africa is not necessarily a 4 star hotel in Chicago. I did this to be fair and give my readers proper perspective)..okay on to the review.... We stayed here for just one night on an 18 day trip through Southern Africa. The property is very modern and seems newer. It is a full service hotel with a great pool and sky deck bar. The rooms all seem updated and were quite nice. Here are the pros and cons: 1. The rooms are very nice and modern; 2. The on property restaurants were very nice and the food was good; 3. The sky deck bar and pool were outstanding; 4. Nice central location 5. Really nice staff and service. We had a 3 am departure to catch a flight and the staff went out of their way to make sure that coffee service was set up for us at 2:45am and breakfast boxes were ready so we had the ability to eat. This was for 13 people - I would have given them 5 stars just for that...outstanding effort. 6. Wifi was excellent. In Southern Africa Wifi is hit or really miss...the Hilton's wifi was a 5 star experience. Cons: 1. Only one real issue. Their is tight security on the elevators to ALL the floors (which is great given that their is a very happening bar open to the public on the top floor), however, the staircase is unregulated. We literally were able to walk up the staircase and access our various floors without any access control. I think the hotel would be wise to tighten that up. 2. The room is the new "modern open" there is really no privacy between the room and the bath. Some people like this and some don't. It is fine but just want people to be aware. All in the property was one of the best we stayed at during the 18 days and I have rated as such. I would highly recommend it.

A refreshing and luxurious experience. The rooms is spacious, well furbished, with a neat and practical bathroom. There is a good variety of tasty food for breakfast. The food and drinks available in the Executive lounge was freshly prepared and very tasty.

We stayed just one night, and we arrived very late, and leave at early morning. The staff was very friendly and cute with us. We were in our Honey Moon and we found our room decorated for the occasion with a really nice bottle of champagne, a card (Signed by several members of the team) and even a courtesy massage coupon. The room was big and very nice with all the comfort you can ask for. The breakfast was very good. Huge quality buffet with several options. The installations of the hotel are very nice and new. We wish that we had more time to enjoy the hotel. We were a bit in a hurry waiting for a suit to get steamed that supposed to be ready in 1 hour. But they solved everything at the reception. Thanks!
