It was nice to have my own queen bed for a night on a trip I'd been sharing with a friend. The room was spacious. There was a GORGEOUS tub, but unless we kicked the other out there was no door to allow privacy. My problem with the hotel was that when we checked in, the front desk woman asked if she could upgrade us, which would mean access to the lounge for drinks and breakfast. Of course we said yes. The next morning when we went to get our breakfast, though, the woman at the lounge told us we weren't upgraded. If we had known that, we would have accounted for it in our timeline and planned around having to get breakfast somewhere else. Ultimately, it took me insisting that she call the woman from the night before to confirm to finally let us in, but it meant we stood there looking like jerks for half an hour wasting time. She clearly cared more about the process than common sense and customer service. Also, the cabs FROM this hotel cost more than if you book them separately. I recommend getting your taxi driver's card from your trip from the airport and arranging transport with him. There is a lovely roofdeck with pool, but it was too cold to use it.
The hotel was well situated. The total stay was excellent in terms of service, staff friendliness and efficiency. the internet service was not great at all, very poor signal. The hotel needs to look into this. The restaurants were convenient and great food presentation and quality. Good value for money
The hilton in Windhoek is very comfortable. Spacious rooms, very good bathroom with seperate bath and shower and very important a very comfortable bed. After travelling through Namibia for 2 weeks it was great to have these comforts. Hotel is in center and as we had a 4x4 pickup with camping gear it was great to be able to park the car (free) save in the parking garage of the hotel. Breakfast was very very good, lots of choice. Fresh egg and juice station, capucino's etc. Pool is on top floor, good views of windhoek. Only few sunbeds so be on time. Stayed for two nights. Wifi is good in hotel. Hotel is very central, easy to get taxi to restaurants. If in Windhoek i would stay here again
Great service. Great facilities. The restaurant staff is very helpful and professional. The only problem is the drops off area where my shuttle was blocked for a long time before it could leave. Security at the door must make sure that this doesn't happen.
Poor customer service. No systems in place. Staff rude, and need urgent training in order to liaise with guests in a proper, professional way. Cannot trace payments made to the hotel. Unable to solve problems.
We were in Windhoek during a national holiday, the city was all but abandoned.Due to the fact we arrived early and our booked room was not ready we were upgraded to a very nice room with a big terrace. Due to the national holiday there were practically no restaurants open so we took both lunch and dinner in the Hilton hotel. Quality of the food and service is good. We also had cocktails at the rooftop bar which offers a nice view over Windhoek. The location of the hotel is ideal and there was ample parking space for our rental car in the underground parking lot.
The hotel was centrally placed with a beautiful view from the Sky Bar. Breakfast had a great selection. Parking underground was safe and easily accessed. The hotel was very quite and little to no traffic noise.
Hilton in Windoeck it's the place to be in city. We spend a very good time to remember The Skay Bar it's fantastic place to spend a couple of hours with someone that you really love😊 We had the best café latté
I always stay (when it is not fully booked) in this hotel when in Windhoek. Excellent and attentive staff and in a very central situation both for business and leisure facilities. Menu can be repetitive but plenty of restaurants nearby to add to variety
The rooms are OK but ours were not particularly clean and the air con seemed to be regulated centrally and the rooms were far too warm. WLAN is only free of charge in public areas and you get access codes at the reception. Food in the restaurant was OK but the Pizzas tasted the best. Breakfast was Ok but service slow. Nice sports bar and good beer but be prepared to get propositioned by the numerous prostitutes who sit there every evening. As all areas of the hotel entrance and the bar are monitored by big and numerous video cameras I presume the prostitutes are tolerated by Hilton management. There is an African street market just beside the hotel and prices there some 20% below the craft centre but the products are identical and you support local families by purchasing souvernirs at the street market.
