We stayed here 2 times now because of an event we attended. On phone they kept telling me rooms available and then when tried to book it she said they weren’t. They said they were so booked up, only room left was a suite. So for 2 nights we paid well over 200$. (Without saying exact pricing) The parking lot was never over half full over 3 days! Our room was big, but in a non smoking room it stunk like a smoking room. Their rates are extremely high for their whole building being so old. Rooms clearly need to be remodeled, and the entrance doors and windows all had big cracks, broken, and not lockable. Both years we’ve gone, the hot tub was completely out of order. There were no clean pool towels for 3 days. The pool room and water were freezing. There’s no working food vending machines, and very limited beverages for sale. The only nice thing I can say is, they held our event so we didn’t need to drive, and the staff while we stayed there was extremely kind. The kitchen and bar staff were awesome and the food we ate from the restaurant was great!
Someone likened this place to a rest stop for truckers, that's not a bad description. Rooms lack for amenities.Towels in the bathroom are just a tad better than the ones used in car washes to dry your vehicle. Wifi is not very good. Within walking distance for airport. Front desk people were very kind in arranging for a shuttle back to the airport so we wouldn't have to deal with the freeze.
Left that night. Wouldn't stay. Didn't ask for refund just wanted hand sanitizer, lady at counter cold as fish acted as I was a nuisance rather than customer that was okay I don't like many people either but I'm not in hospitality business. Room was disgustingly grimy, I'm a trucker and this room is the worse I've ever not stayed at. No refund don't want one just want to wash this hotel off me
I have a few complaints for this hotel. I understand that since the oil boom this hotel has been used frequently... with that being said it is heading in the wrong direction when it comes to updates. The rooms are well work in and do need to be updated or fixed. My major reason for the low score is... the roaches... I killed two my second night there. There is always more than one or two. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk I was asked if I wanted a different room. That's it.. no I'm sorry this happened.. what else can we do for you?? I will never stay here again.
We live here and drive past everyday. My 5 year old LOVES the pool area so we stayed here on a Saturday night. The front desk informed us that waterside was broken, however we had no clue that the hot tubs were not working. The room was decent and clean.
I made the mistake of booking this room online with Hotels.com. When I got to the hotel, they had no reservation in their system, even though Hotels.com gave me a "confirmation number". The hotel itself was basic. Carpet and décor was dated, but staff and location was wonderful. Downside, no elevator. Upside, lounge was spacious and had great prices and food.
Some of the rooms are in poor shape. Had to move to a different room because ours was too far away from the office to get wifi. There were lots of of stairs to haul luggage and no elevator! I think it got rundown during the oil boom.
After a crazy holiday we decided to take a staycation at the Grand Williston. While the hotel is a little older, they had finished a renovation and we were excited to see the changes. I have to be honest and say that the pool suite we were in was perfect for our one night stay. The room was right off the pool area which worked great for us. Be advised that between 11 pm and 11:15 pm if you're in a pool room, they will lock the door from the pool side to prevent you from using the pool after hours. It's a simple arm lock, much like any hotel room. The front desk doesn't tell you this. And we thought someone was trying to break into our room. The customer service was awesome. Crystal at the housekeeper was great. She gave us extra towels and made sure we were comfortble. Thomas checked us in and was very friendly and made us feel so welcome. This was such a change since I had a bad experience with Hope the last time we had stayed. While she couldn't even find out if we could eat in the lounge with a four year old, Thomas was able to tell us exactly what the lounge rules were and what to expect. Ed the maintenace guy was great. He helped us out when we locked ourselves out of the room. Thank you to Gina for suggesting the hotel. Our daughter loved the water slide. We didn't eat in the lounge as we felt it was not appropriate for a family. However we ordered pizza and ate it in the beautiful lobby/living room area. While this is an older hotel, they really are striving for excellent customer service.
The actual stay was great but the reason I gave it one star and will never return is for this one reason. My husband and I are in Williston for a doctors appointment and since it was for just my husband I decided to stay at the hotel while he goes to his appointment since we are from out of town and I had no where else to go. I was QUEITLY sitting in the lobby charging my phone and waiting for my husband to be done when I was approached and VERY RUDLY told that since I wasn't staying there tonight I needed to leave, and that I wasn't welcome there. It was a nice stay but I will never return because apparently you're only welcome until 11.
I was greeted by a friendly front desk staff, who were very helpful, and check in was easy. I was allowed to check in late and without any problem. They offer free breakfast and wi fi. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable and had amazing comforters on them. I also had my dog with me and the staff was very friendly about them.
