For a continental breakfast it was pretty good. The owners are very kind and polite. The furnishings are worn and the bathroom tiny and needs new caulking and grout. But we had an adjoining room and they never turned their lights off and they were up at 5 am talking loudly so hard to sleep.

Overall it was a great experience. Bathrooms are a little small, but the room was very nice. Internet worked well. Great breakfast each day. And if you're visiting the Ark, it's easy walking distance!

Cute "old school motel" vibe. Quiet. Convenient to Ark Encounter, and Williamsburg with restaurants & historical spots. Comfy bed. Good T.V...a must as we watched the Oregon Ducks vs Penn State Football game! (GO DUCKS!!) Clean. Simple. Great spot to stay.

We traveled from North Carolina to see the Ark. The room was very clean and smelled great. The beds were comfortable, the water was hot. We liked that there was a clock, microwave, fridge and coffee maker!! .....oh and the Ark was right across the street. The breakfast was very nice...waffles, fruit, cereal, bagels etc. We had a 2 day stay and would recommend the Sunrise Inn to everyone!!

This property is old. It needs more updating. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom is extremely small. A large person wouldn’t make into the bathroom. The door barely clears the toilet. When running the shower the water somehow goes under the tile in this small bathroom so the floor goes up and down until the tile dries out. This was bothersome. Something obviously is wrong with this situation. The shower water though was always nice and hot. The carpets need to be vacuumed and cleaned, my socks got filthy dirty on it so I threw them away. The dresser drawers wouldn’t open without tugging on them which was annoying. The walls are very thin, we could hear conversations next door along with them snoring. We didn’t like that. Breakfast was ok but it was all carbs. They advertise that they are across the street from the Ark Encounter which is only partly true because you can’t walk there like we were anticipating. The Ark Encounter is way back against the road so you must still drive there.??That is a’littlee deceiving. We will choose another place to stay and skip this place next time. There are better choices out there.??
