Location was very calm and relaxing. Close to the gorge for the trail walks under the bridge and the waterfalls. The coffee place near by was spectacular. It was a very relaxing weekend getaway.

Great weekend in this peaceful paradise. This is the perfect spot if you just want to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. Residence had everything I needed and the hot tub and fire pit make it a perfect retreat. If you want to get out and about; New River Gorge and Summersville are both close by. I will definitely be back!

My sister and I and our spouses had a wonderful fall birthday weekend here. We especially enjoyed home cooked meals together and relaxing time in the hot tub. The house was clean, roomy, and warm, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and we enjoyed seeing many deer wandering around the property. It was close to Fayetteville, and we really enjoyed Bridge Day and rafting on the Gauley. A great location for a relaxing time with family and friends, and to enjoy the nearby National Park. Would absolutely stay here again.

The cabin is just so perfect! So spacious and well equipped! All the details are beautiful and the cabin is super clean and tidy. We enjoyed using the hot tub and fire pit while there.It was the perfect location right between the New River Gorge and summersville lake. We will absolutely be coming back and bringing the whole family next time!

Wonderful cabin. Everything was incredibly clean and the house was well stocked. Plenty of room for our family. The hitting was great and the fire pit and covered picnic table was perfect and the place we spent most of our time when we were there.

I had a perfect stay at Hickory Hideaway! Everything was exactly as described or better, the decor is wonderful, and the place was spotless when I arrived. I particularly appreciated the immaculately maintained hot tub, especially after a day adventuring in the gorge. The grill and firepit are also fantastic. Pro tip: Be sure to checkout The Market and Drinkery at Rt. 19, great lo al grub!

Nice and spacious inside and tasteful decor and furniture. And the layout was good - with the primary bedroom on one side and the two other bedrooms and laundry on the other side. The location worked out great for our family. And the property was exactly as pictured and described. We saw deer but no people - perfect!

Amazing property. The location is perfect. Secluded for sure, but still about 20-30 minutes from stores and all the fun. Very clean and updated. Owners go above and beyond to maintain their home and provide almost everything you can think of so you don’t have to worry about anything. We plan to make this our routine summer destination.

Great place

One of our first trips with our 2 year old son. The place was really well kept which made us feel more comfortable and made the trip a million times better/easier. Owner was super quick to respond to any messages we sent. We had a great time.Felt more private than I expected & was closer to everything than I expected it to be!
